    Water in hydro

When using hydro with plants in rock wool or other same how often should I water? And should I just water while the lights are on ? Or do I set timer To come on while light is off

I guess it depends on what type of hydroponic system you are using. The RDWC setup I built continuously circulates solution to mister heads for each plant. The pump is always running. I think that ebb and flow systems cycle for a few minutes at a time but I'm not that familiar with it. I usually change my reservoir/system contents every 10-14 days and I'll top off the rez with water to maintain the proper volume.
    WHAT???
    5x5 grow space
    900w of Vero's and F-strips
    4-17gal totes self-made UC system.

In DWC the root mass sits directly in the water for the plants entire life. The only reason they do not drown is an aquarium pump that pushes bubbles up through the roots, delivering oxygen.
