    FYI FREE ONLINE COURSE
    Oregon State University
    PERMACULTURE

    Begins April 23rd 2018
Just in time for Earth Day, which in my book is everyday.
If anyone else on GWE is interested in taking the course we can use my FYI thread and the GWE Forum to collaborate.

In this free, online course, you’ll learn about the process, ethics, and principles of permaculture while diving into climate-specific design elements through interactive technology, videos, graphics, and readings. Permaculture design is a method of landscape planning that can be applied to anything, from a home garden or farm to a city block or entire village. Permaculture uses design principles from nature itself and takes into account such things as how indigenous people used the land. This course is designed to benefit everyone regardless of learning style, time commitments, or available technology. Expect to spend between two to four hours each week on coursework.
    OBJECTIVES
    • Define what the permaculture design system is, as well as its ethics and principles.
    • Organize the order of the permaculture design process.
    • Diagram elements of watershed, sector, and zone maps.
    • Identify design elements appropriate for each climate.

Course is offered by Oregon State University.

Might be time for a transplant though and some training hahahahahahahaha

Hear is a pic from yesterday for comparing growth after Fim, Blue Dream that I fimmed a day or two after you did. First time I have tried Fimming, so mine might not be done correctly, but atleast something to compare weird new growth to.

Possibly you might have cut too high but very nice job you might end up with 6 top colas from the looks of it just from that fim

      Sweet!! making me feel giddy!!
Planted her on Jan 11, and planning to let flower naturally in sept, Humbolt says she can grow 3 meters outdoors, and stretches double, so both excited and a little scared of this plant! Fimmed at about 2' tall cause I finally started to worry about head room.

Still don't think she will measure up to Paracelsus's plant posted above.

I’d just wait but those leaves look super dark like too much nitrogen or a ph issue and looks like it was fimmed just a tad too high but no big deal I think but that’s probably why you got all that weird twisted growth from just a high fim cut. I fimmed mine by pulling apart the top new growth to separate it all and just jimmy the scissors in there and I snipped it at the new growth tip almost like a surgical top and had a really fast recover time and normal growth try it next time like that. But Wait a week or 2 before removing anything to let it fully recover first

I think the whole plant has turned Mutant.
Check out the pictures well imagine if that I can get this to be healthy. It’s going to have flower sites all over this plant if I could get it back to Helton but it’s a totally different pheno than the other three plants and one of those three plants is a different strain too.

This one now is a mutant

I'd let them grow out ...Agree.

I wouldn't take anything else off right now either, I think it would be to much, and could hurt them till they grow more.
I could see there being a little too much N like Deadhead said.

ID:	194752 So it’s been three days of letting the plant sleep a little bit. 6 hours a night has done all of them good. I haven’t FIM’d any more but have been super cropping to better arrange the leaves. It seems to be working out well. New growth on KINKY Is now a lighter shade of green. Thanks for being there to listen to me kvetch like a Yiddish mother.
What kind of music do your plants like to listen to ?

Deadhead91 Those huge lower fan leaves are the ones that originally were very healthy until I drenched the plant with Dr. Earth rooting mixture to introduce micro organisms and fungi into the soil, so I called them up and asked Dr. Earth if that would work and I did and they reacted poorly this one especially and getting it back to helth has been iffy since then but it’s doing much better. earlier in the thread I went into detail

The soil probably became too hot with the organisms breaking the food down too fast for the plant or made the ph change derasticly and have you flushed it since the dr.earth?

I Flushed it almost immediately twice and I mean a real flush right after the first time I drenched it with the doctor earth I didn’t do a flush with it I just drenched it till it was satriated

        Here is the original post
So I made my home at GWE about three months ago early in December and I have yet to plant even one seed. I/O it all to them, everything I’ve learned along the way

ID:	194919 So these plants first came out of the ground on March 8 and now it is April 11 that is two the beginning of its second lunar cycle. So I would say they’re beginning their fifth week in the vegetation stage I’m going to be keeping them under the T fives as I keep prepairing. I might even clone some of the plants While till in vegetation.

So I would say one of them is now mutated whether it was a nitrogen imbalance my FIMng technique or whatever. So remember the beginning of the problem was when I drenched the plants remember earlier in the thread I added Dr. Earth to the soil ? Until then it presented very very healthy it could be it’s own mutant strain now but the bud site potential it their if I can gat it healthy. The only training I’m doing now is super cropping and lollipoping the other plants I want to give Mutant a haircut. .
