I have monster cropped clones (I'll post some pictures) and they are from the only female plant I got from bag seeds, so i cloned her before i switched to flowering because i didnt know of monster cropping, and grew one more plants which i did monster cropped and are the plants im growing now, also I don't order seeds online because of many reasons, but my friend plant genetics has absolutely nothing to do with cloning/monster cropping, because qhen you clone a plant you dont change anything about that plant, it is exactly the same plant as the mother plant and it will grow the exact same way the mother did (keep notes on growth for future training) and personally yeald is about the same maybe more, but then again i did get better lights and bigger pots so my plants grew bigger, but cloning your plants for a few generations is a good way to get a stash of one type of weed, if stored right, and you never have to worry about running put of seeds (i have about 30 left and who knows if any are female so im going to keep cloning until i get my space so i can have 3-4 grow tents. these are my plants below and a clone im already working on the next generation lol

Awesome, thanks for the insight. Good to know I'm not totally crazy on this one. My thinking was that re-vegging and then cloning would add another level of stress on the clone, and that it's an exact genetic replica, but it becomes it's own plant, with a slightly different set of obstacles to over come (the extra stress from the cloning process and trying to establish it's own life).

Gees sorry im high and doing homework lol sorry, but think of re-rooting same way as coming out of the seed, its both part of the plants survival but after its an established plant it grow like a regular plant, sorry for the confusion
-
But what im really trying to say is, just grow your plants and dont worry about genetics, as long as you have good strong plants you will be fine
-
So if I have a good strong plant, then I've got good genetics, which means it should be good to go. Cool.

Right, it's not really monster cropped unless you've harvested a crop the second time. Didn't really know how else to phrase it. Seems to be a bit of an unknown area.

I think yours is monster cropping and mine is just re-vegging and then cutting clones. But we can call it what it really is: Playing god.

No problem, stoners get confused, it's part of the lifestyle. Thanks for the input too, at least now I know what I'm doing, conceptually at least. Don't feel like I'm poking around in the dark as much.

I think with clones most growers agree that the buds from a clone are very similar to the mom if not exactly the same. It's the environmental factors that make the biggest difference in bud quality.
However, it's true that a plant which has been vegged for a really long time (for example a year) tends to be less vibrant when it comes to vegetative growth. At least as far as the first 5-10 generations it seems like if you keep taking a clone of a clone when the plant starts getting old, it seems like just picking the healthiest clones as the new mom is all it takes to reset the plant.
I do think the environment of the mom has an effect on her growth and it wouldn't surprise me if some characteristics drifted over time with clones of clones because even though the the genes will stay exactly the same, their expression is different based on their environment (for example a plant grown under LED lights often look different from that plant grown under HPS).
I don't think I've ever heard anyone doing multiple generations with monstercropped plants, but I think you'd probably be okay at least for a generation or two, and probably more But if you do that I hope you share your results with the rest of us!
