Hey all just wondering if there was any hacks out there to bring the humidity down in a grow tent while I wait on a dehumidifier. Pacific northwest and rain is constant humidity in the house is around 50% and it's too cold for an ac. My temps vary and night temps get down around 65 while highs are around 81 Fahrenheit. I redid the exhaust and brought my temps down to 78 at highest but still battling humidity. Week one of flower and I don't want it be soggy in there when I come home from work. Using 1000w hps air cooled light and was thinking of taking the glass off to see if it helped just haven't done it yet. Is there any thing else I can do to bring it down I have 2 intakes one blowing a fan in and one taking in cool air from the back of the room near the window. I took off as much foliage as I can stand so that's not an option. I didn't want to spend the money on the dehumidifier but then again I didn't want to ruin all my hard work with mold those things are expensive. I didn't get a big one and paid 40usd to get a smaller one for bathrooms attics and closet since essentially it is a closet. Not running really high in humidity but enough to get wet leaves from transpiration. Got another fan to keep them dry but I have to be away for a while and don't want to come home to wpm or a sauna.

Im currently dealing with the exact same issues. The damp rid did not work it cannot keep up with the humidity. For the money its a waste imo. I think the rock salt would have the same effect as the damp rid.
I finally got my dehumidifier hooked up and it helps alot. But I still would like it lower so I do a couple other things.
The things I do to battle it in my tent is.
1)Keep an extra fan blowing on the plants. So even if RH is high heavy airflow will keep mold from producing. I have 3 fans in each 4x4 tent and 2 6 inch exhausts in each as well 1 in and 1 out. It is all about airfliw when rh is high.
2)During lights on I leave the top part of my tent zipper open about 2 feet down and unzip each top zipper from the door. The I put a clip fan pointing out the opening pushing air out. I dont leave the whole door open because you lose the reflectivity of your tent walls. I open it basically to my light level so now light is wasted and air is still is able to be expelled.

I may be breaking a rule here but I found this on my first Google result. https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog...peratures-n243 seems you're right about spot on for early flower.

Yes it gets around 55 and it climbed really high after watering. I'm really close and noticed some leaves touching each other were wet from transpiration. I'm hoping that I don't have to get a bigger dehumidifier for late flower. If my light cycle could be on at night it would probably help too but I can't do that just yet. In first week of flower so I can get away with 50. But it never stops raining in the Pacific Northwest lol.https://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum...-she-s-a-beast

With the spring rains coming, Im almost certain you'll need a larger one. You could also change the time you water. To be honest, I've never even took humidity into consideration outside of my mushroom op. But that's easy enough to keep at 100% rh. The mushrooms fruit in the same dome as the clones. Makes a really good team inside the dome together. One day I might look into it.
