    What's happening to my plants

My first time grow. Started off inside (winter) CFL'S - poor light slow growth...took forever. Warm weather stuck them outside, look healthy but did not grow much more, the one started a new leaf growth the other is the same MUST BE 7 MONTHS OLD NOW. Seem to have kolas, never got this far before so don't really know. Middle summer now in South Africa 36C. Thinking should I pull them and dry or stick a box over them at night for 12 hours. A big problem here with cut-worm so growing my next batch under CFL'S and grow tubes T5 inside until bigger. I don't smoke so it's for cooking.

    Many thanks for any help...Flycatcher

Look into reveg. I'm 90% sure your light schedule has gone sideways somehow.

Thanks for the reply. They went outside at about 3 months...into summer sunshine, hence the regrowth on the one. If I could ask? 1/ Can they stay out for the rest of the summer? will they stay alive for that long? 2/ Could I put a box over them at night for 12 hours, I think they have flowered already. I shall take more pics close-up if that will help, will they flower or just keep vegging.

You can do eather. It's going to look like complete trash from that point down. If you want something salvageable, you'll have to veg it out for a few months until the growth looks normal again. But at that point you're looking at another 8-10 inches of growth. Using CFLs to flower a plant that size, before the stretch, I don't think that'll cut it. You can grow it outside, yes. But like I said above, it's going to put on a LOT of growth before it's finished.
I'm actually running one that I had reveged for a month. It's a huge nasty looking bush. I'm still growing it out and have no idea what's going to happen. But I had to find out. You can keep a plant alive as long as you want really. I had kept one mother plant for 3 years.

I realize now the flash makes it look like inside lighting. They have been outside for 4 months, see new pics. I did a FIM on 2 other plants, but not sure I cut enough off, there's growth all over the top. It seems part of the leaf I cut is growing again. What do you think?

Don't be so quick to dismiss cfl's. I had several very successful grows with CFL but you need several and keep them close to plant.
    DIY grow space 2.5' X 3.5' X 6.5'
    315 LEC
6" Vortex exhaust fan w/speed control
    6" Carbon filter
    3- 6" fans

    temp and humidity gauge
5 gal smart pots w/ FFOF soil
    FF trio nutrients

Thanks, I now have 2x T5 and 4 CFL'S AT 200mm. All is looking good. I also have 2 others now outside...looking great. What a learning curve this is. I did a fim on my other ones and the growth was a good split, I think I got lucky. I'm not sure I cut away enough this time, I shall take some pics.
