I purchased 5 White widow autos from ILGM, Been reading here for a couple of months getting ready for my 1st grow. Of the 5 seeds 3 of them were not dark and striped like photos show here for "good" seeds, the actually are white more than anything. Soaked In room temp bottled water (seed floated never sunk) for 3 days. Put it in soil and 18 days later nothing sprouted. (That was one of the white seeds) I have just soaked one of the darker bigger striped seeds for 26 hours, it finally sank after 26 hours, I removed it and placed between wet paper towels following all instructions on this site. I am on day 5 in moist paper towels and not a thing is happening! No nice little white root, seed doesn't appear to be split, nothing.... Am I doing something wrong? Damp paper towel, inside ziploc bag for humidity and room temp about 74 degrees. Any advice would be appreciated, as I honestly think I have one more chance out of 5 seeds, because I think the 3 white seeds were junk from beginning? And for $69.00 I was hoping for more than 1 plant!

It really sounds like you might have a bad batch of seeds.
Hear is what I do: straight into damp soil 1 knuckle deep, cover with plastic wrap( or better yet, leftover bubble wrap) and keep at room temp of 60-80.,make sure they stay damp till they sprout. Never had them take more than 5 days so far, and my current grow I got 6 out of 6 germination rate, 3 seeds are from MSNL and 3 are from Seedsman. I have always known floating seeds to be duds, with any plant. Maybe try just straight into soil with the last one, but sounds like the seeds to me. Sorry to hear it.Organic Soil,

Pyro1711, make sure your towel is wet but that the seed isn't sitting in a puddle of water, are you keeping it in a dark place? For the time that has passed for "good seed" I've seen them Crack in 24hrs and in two weeks, that is my done point so just keep crossing all your T's by following the gwe.com tutorial and good luck.

Thanks for the input everyone. I hate to say it, but I think the seeds from ILGM were no good from the beginning. I was really disappointed when I saw white seeds after everything I had read. I guess I will contact them and see what they say. Oh, and the paper towel was damp, no puddles.

UPDATE: I took a blackberry auto from SEEDSMAN and put it in water, it cracked open in about 12 hours, removed and placed between 2 damp paper towels and a small tail has started all in under 24 hours! Have it on a heating pad as @allatup suggested and looks like i am off to my first grow! I have sent a polite e mail to ILGM letting them know about the seed problems I experienced. I will further update to what they say/do. Personally I will be buying from SEEDSMAN from now on as I received 2x the seeds from them as I did ILGM.

I bet you'll get some new beans from ILGM. Like most others, I use the soak and paper towel method-usually with results like your auto seed. I did get quite a few 'freebies' from Seedsman that refused to germ-I posted a comment about that on Seedsman website comments and they contacted me to 'credit' me for some more freebies. I feel like your germination method is wrong but lots of ppl do it the way u do. I have only Eva had 3 seeds not germinate gess where they were from. Ilgm. Put the seed in moist rapid rooter 3 to 5 ml of water place in side a humidity dome with a seedling heat mat. Works every time. It's 4:19 u got a minute?
