    Medicinal Question

I own a beautiful plant full of resin, but I gave her colloidal silver a couple of times (not spraying on her, feeding). I think I can't consume the plant, but what if I make some alcohol with it? Of course not for consumption, just for external use because my gandma suffers a lot of pain in the knees. I want to know if the colloidal silver will do some harm on her if I make this alcohol.

    Thanks!

Mate ... people eat colloidal silver because they think it protects them from cancer. if too much is eaten the person develops blue skin! but they don't get sick or die. so you should be right to try whatever you want. cheers!

You can still get Silver poisoning from rubbing on the skin. Colodial Silvers chemical composition allows it to be absorbed through the dermal layer. I would avoid this especially since you fed it silver you have no idea is the levels that are in that plant

There is silver in medical products like anti-infection burn treatment or treatment for MRSA. Its actually a common tool in western medicine. Just kept quiet because you can't profit from it like other pharmaceuticals and would put a wrench in the works for those that profit from antibiotics.
The people that make it at home with subpar practices and consume large quantities run risk of side effects. Otherwise quite safe in my experience.

Actually it wasn't on purpose. When I was spraying only one branch , the colloidal silver dropped several times into the soil so....

Collodial silver in too high of levels will cause kidney shutdown and partial blindness. Especially at night. You basically go blind at night.

At 125 LBS 1 teaspoon of 10 PPM a day of silver is considered safe, from what I've gathered.

I don't know if you can find out the levels of silver in the plant without sending it to a lab to be tested.

Thanks for the info pal. And no, the three topics I made are NOT the same. Re-read the stuff doc.
I remember the first one was for smoking or for commonly known consumption, in this case is different. And WE GET IT at the first time when you said that is dangerous for our health, you just keep focusing in the same thing. I posted 2 or 3 times and you were always there. Sorry but kind of annoying.

Do as you please then. I am afterall no doctor. But I can Google and read and all I know is I wouldn't willingly make a loved one or myself a guinea pig from weed experiment I did. Not knowing what could happen. After seeing the effects of it through research.

Im not the only one thats piped up repeadedly in your threads saying to leave it alone. No matter what type of consumption method.

Is colloidal silver at the drugstore different than the one used to make seeds on female buds without another male?

I have taken colloidal silver and applied it to wounds, taken it sublingually without any negative effects. It was sold for this purpose. Perhaps the concentration is different?

            The most common health effects associated with prolonged exposure to silver are the development of a characteristic, irreversible pigmentation of the skin (argyria) and/or the eyes (argyrosis). The affected area becomes bluish-gray or ash gray and is most prominent in areas of the body exposed to sunlight (Shelley et al., 1987; ATSDR, 1990; Gulbranson et al., 2000). Argyria and argyrosis have been reported during placement of silver-containing solid materials into the skin or body (Espinal et al., 1996); inhalation in occupational settings (Barrie and Harding, 1947; Rosenman et al., 1979); and from the use of colloidal silver and silver-containing medicinals (Fung and Bowen, 1996;
Abstract. A critical review of studies examining exposures to the various forms of silver was conducted to determine if some silver species are more toxic than

How man times did you apply it? Did you dilute at all? If so how much at what concentration?

Knowing that I would examine how much would/could be present. It sounds minimal but only you know that.

I just read a few scientific journals about Silver's absorption through the skin. Apparently it does soak through the lowest level of skin but at a nanoparticle level they find it not to be dangerous used this way. But this again all goes to closely tested scientific studies. They were using much more control doses.

Even though it says it's safe I think it all still comes down to the levels in the product you using. Apparently all the danger is mainly focused at internal consumption by eating or inhaling. That completely changes the chemical makeup compared to putting it on the skin

No no offense taken. You just asked if I was a doctor. While I am not, coming from a family all in the medical field you could not imagine all the stories. A lot having to do with people's home remedies or trying things not proven safe, experimenting, ect.

To be honest what worries me most is the negative impact that could be done by this. With all the strides that have been taken to legalize MJ anything negative should be avoided.

For instance more and more places are legalizing it. That means more and more people will try growing. Some will also try these methods to feminize plants. The less people going to the ER for silver poisoning the better. All anti-marijuana supporters need is an uprise in illnesses directly correlating to the industry to use it against pro-marijuana issues.

Any negative stigmas towards what we are trying to achieve should be avoided if at all possible. At least until proven to be safe.

The OP asked if you were a doctor not me. My posts seem to oppose your point of view. I just wanted to clarify that I wasn't just being argumentative.

But I understand your point about carelessness and abuse could hinder our progress.

Its all good. Arguments and discussions are needed. Without them no progress would ever be made because everyone would just agree.

I apologize I thought that was your post.

Im not doubting what you are saying about the availabilty in the health market place. Such as salves or drops. For medicinal uses.

But what I am arguing is the dose of said chemical. Those are probably mostly lab tracked and created to exact safe doses.

You aren't buying collodial silver from some no name joe off craigslist that had some left over from making mj feminizing products. Your buying fda approved products.

                    Thats my point.
