hey guys I started my second grow and the guy at the grow shop gave me some coco so on a whim I tossed two of my 6 rooters into solo cups with the coco. After giving it a bit more thought I think I’d rather streamline the feeding and keep all 6 in soil. Still a total newbie and don’t think I should be complicating things anymore than doing 3 different strains two each. Will it be ok to move them from the solo cup into two gallon pots with soil? I will let them get bigger first. Thanks!

Im thinking you shouldnt have any problems at all. Once their roots exit the coco they wont even know its there. Also, I think its smart to not complicate anything too much. That way if problems come up you will be able to apply a fix across the whole grow. I once grew 4 strains at once, in the same box. It turned out o.k but managing lights when they all had different needs and stretch was a bit if a juggle.Organic only soil grower

I dont think the small amount if coco you have there will matter at all. I use coco in my super soil to loosen and bulk it up a bit. Hope you post some pics for us!Organic only soil grower

I always start in 1 gal of coco perlite 70/30 and transplant autos into 3-5 gallon "soil" once at 4-5 node- just before they flower.
I get the advantage of coco which substantially increases plant/root size- and the ease of a soil grow to harvest- I change nutes when going from coco to Root Organic Orginal, too.
It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

Are you kidding me? That just might be genius. So sick of daily watering.

Jibblerjoe, I'm finding that coco/perlite-> transplanted into a 3 gal (soil) nursery container needs to be watered every other day & 3 gal (soil) fabric is daily watering for the last 3 weeks. Yield was similiar between fabric & nursery (10% more with nursery container)
I'm currently testing a couple of 5 gallon (soil) nursery containers- looking to obtain twice a week water/feed and care during flower
If you use a fabric 1 gallon initially- you get massive roots.
