Modern systems use a water line regulator which does the filling automatically. You should be able to convert your system easily....well maybe if you are handy, and do it yourself. I would stay away from calling a plumber.

Hot water baseboard heating is the most economical and most Even heat run by a boiler.
Radiators are out dated I grew up with them hissing and leeking,it was my job to fill the boiler as a kid !
my mom use to have trays filled with water on top of the radiators for humidity.

My present house built in 2005 has hot water heat. It is a custom built home with wainscoting, Crown molding, skylights, and a hot water heating system. Hot water is no longer widely used because of the expense. Today's systems use copper tubing which is very costly. I would choose this over any other heating system due to the extreme comfort it offers. A forced air furnace distributes dust all over your home which is alleviated by hot water heat.

Yea,baby although I got my grow room dialed in for theses temps. I’m glad to see them go!

Yeah the jet stream is going to be kind to some of us for a while. That extreme sag in the jet stream that refrigerated us has moved northward blocking that arctic air. I never thank gawd, but always show gratitude to random chance. But I will on occasion slip and use that terminology. It is difficult to escape that conditioning. http://www.intellicast.com/National/Wind/JetStream.aspx

I have a veg room and a flowering room in my barn, but usually grow only in the spring and summer months. Last year it was mainly outdoors.

potted I would love to put in a forced hot water system ,its a 200 year old house its drafty even though everything is insulated with new windows ,if the wind isn't blowing 20 mph then its pretty good but when that wind comes up well all bets are off lol, this morning I have not heard the radiators hissing at all and boiler is full .
