    HELP! Question about Pollinating.

I do grow organics outdoors, so it takes much longer to veg and flower my ladies. I usually harvest my girls between 4.5 and 5.5 months.
I have 2 female GDP of the same age and I can notice both are already flowering. One of them is being sprayed with colloidal silver for getting pollen since 3 days ago. I suppose that when i'll harvest my pollen my other girl will be a few weeks in the flowering stage , but still there is a lot time left to finish the total process. So I guess it will not be a problem to pollinate her a little late because still the seeds will be totally formed after 6 weeks, right?

My plants are around 6 weeks old and they started flowering just a few days ago.

    Thanks!!

I'm lost. Most folks avoid pollination. What is your goal?

hey Aloner I just reread the tutorial and I think you are correct ,Not sure about the time but I stressed one of my grows with my light and it grew viable seeds ,just curious are you spraying the whole plant or just one branch .one branch is certainly enough pollen to do two female plants and have some left over for a different grow. Must be nice to be somewhere its warm freekin 24 out there right now lol

It's recommended to spray all the plant, because you can't consume any part of the plant that has contact with colloidal silver. Even though is the whole plant, I can save the pollen for later. Here is always warm even in winter. You can harvest 3 times per year outdoors in my country. Nice fertile soil, strong sunlight and humid environment.

This is not the way I understand this works, if you spray only one bud then you can consume the rest of the plant as long as you are careful about overspray. Keep in mind that plants do not have a circulatory system like we do, the flow of water and nutrients is driven by the capillary effect, which is a one way trip. CS or STS from one bud will not migrate to other branches. Many many of us on this board have smoked unsprayed buds from plants we have flipped one or two buds from.

TBH, while I would never smoke bud that had been sprayed with silver - from a toxicological perspective, I doubt a few weeks worth of 50 ppm CS would deposit enough silver to even register at a toxic level . . . but somebody else can test that one for me.

I know, I didn't mean that the CS would travel to the whole plant, it's just imposible to think you can spray only one bud without having any other section of the plant with a little contact with the solution. Maybe it is possible but I will prefer to be 100% secure and not take a risk lol.
          That's what I meant
          Peacee
