Clear amber triches on some strains, and milky triches on others

I've been researching peak THC maturity, and I read this very interesting blurb this morning about some strains (sativa) that go clear amber without going milky. So not all strains go milky white at peak maturity. Very interesting...

Well f**k me running that was a lot to take in but just changed my whole idea about harvest time.
I like your use of the word blurb.

"This has prompted a mythical practice of leaving the plant in the dark for hours and even days and also harvesting in the dark, none of which actually has any effect and is a total waste of time."
      It's 4:19 u got a minute?

Theres also a great article called" the Truth About Flushing" under Links of the GHP site........a total different take on flushing the plant before harvest, worth a read. I'd be curious what some of the more experienced growers here think.

ATU your system seems to me to make more sense, especially for one growing in coco, the last couple weeks lower nutes then flush for last 48 hrs. The Flushing article basically said to me that flushing before harvest is stressing the plant at the wrong time and if you've been feeding correctly flushing isn't neccessary. I'm getting close to harvest and will try lowering nutes and a quick flush just to see what happens, if the buds come out harsh I'll know not to do that again.

OJH ha!!! do that all the time ....once you read the article I'd love to hear what you think

carblevel I never use my nutes (AN) at the recommended level; at max Im usually around 50% of what they recommend. And of course outdoors growers never flush before harvest.

well my thoughts are that I'm going to harvest some when trics are clear with a little milky, milky with a little clear, and milky with a couple amber. tech stuff I have to read a few times before i get it ,you know us old jar heads are like that lol but it sounds and feels right so I will check it out and experiment in my mad scientist lab down cellar and of coarse share what I discover

Hey Carblevel, your right about some of those other forums, I don't know if they are having problems with their grows or what, but I've seen some serious cussing each other out , that kind of crap doesn't help anyone. No doubt GWE is the best one.

Great read, companions well with a article I posted a while back that suggested it was possible we may be harvesting at the incorrect times, though it didn't research about the subject.

I suspect a lot of what is taken as wisdom will be modified as legalization moves forward and more in depth testing happens and becomes directly available via the internet.

Your right Ganj, just think back in the day hell, we didn't know what Amber was, we just put the machete to it and hauled ass, seemed to me it did the job good as any.

In my experience, too much amber equals couch lock. Both Indica and Sativa.
