    Harvest advice

Alrighty guys and gals iv made it finally lmao. Sunday around noon to however long it takes to cut her downand trim her up.

So my question is any advice on how much leaf matter i should leave on. My humidty levels vary in my tent between 37%is the lowest when lights on and 71% when the lights go out but it more stays around 45% RH. Iv made a box to hang my buds in and set in the cornor of my tent so id like peoples knowledge and experience so i can make the best educated guess on how to dry these buds out as they look prettier than anything iv ever grown befor. So just wanting to be extra careful.

I usually do a typical trim pretty quick and get the buds hung up then come back and manicure down for sleek lovely looking buds.

I trim by removing all the fan leaves (of course) as well as all the sugar leaves that stick out from the buds. I don't go digging into the bud to remove the sugar leaves at the base; I just trim the leaves even with the buds. I leave all the buds on the branches and hang them in my cabinet. After initial drying, I'll then remove the buds from the branches, doing a nicer "manicure" of each bud before dropping them into jars for curing.

I would think, Graff420 , with your high humidity that you would want to remove as much leaf matter as possible to minimize the chances of mold occurring.

Also, you don't want stagnate air while drying. You want some air movement to again help minimize the chances of mold forming. Of course, that doesn't mean blowing a fan directly on your buds as that would cause them to dry out too quickly and unevenly. But as long as you have some air movement in that drying box, you should be OK.

My growing cabinet doubles as my drying cabinet. I have a small 120mm PC fan pushing fresh air into the bottom of the cabinet. This air then travels upward through my plant (or hanging buds) and out the exhaust at the top (during drying, I do not run my 'extraction' fan). I find this gives me more than enough air movement. It also helps me that the relative humidity in my area hovers around 25% to 35%, so with less moisture in the air to start with, my buds dry very nicely.

True true sounds good i may leave the buds on the stick to help them because im drying in my grow tent. I'm useing the box to stop the light from getting to the buds once i put the light on for 24 hrs for my auto my humidity should stay at 50% give or take a few % so idk about to start my chop now

Dehumidifier? My tent drops RH if I leave the light on and turn the oscillating fan on high. Drops to 35% from 50%. I don't have a dehumidifier yet. One of my next purchases.
