1968-69 we paid 100bucks a lb. If we bought 10 lbs , we got it for 40bucks a lb, little mex. Coffee bricks. First time we ever bought pot all you could get was 5buck for a matchbox full, and that came from across the tracks from shady blues and jazz musicians.

we were fronted a lb of Columbian Gold in the early 80's and told that anything over $400 we could keep. This stuff was beautiful, and some of the best, wish I still had some of the seeds. $15 a lid and it was so big you could barely get the baggie shut. Then they started with the paraquat so you never knew what you were getting.

Starramus, I must say. Since I've had my medical marijuana card for the last 10 years. I've never once been hassled by the law.

I bought a pound of Acapulco gold for $90.00 in Tucson in 1974. At that time regular brick was $30. a pound.

That is the best price I've ever seen. Good for you desertdan. Wouldn't be great if it was still that price.

That Acapulco gold in my area was 20bucks an Oz.about 1967 -68. Kilo was 375bucks and you had to know the man good to get it for that price. We thought that was hi way robbery, but what did we know.

I think I probably paid too much for that era in Tucson. Has anyone seen the try Tucson first posters from the 60s? A guy with a VW micro bus and about 500 pounds of brick stacked in it.

I haven't seen that one, but I remember plenty of posters in the Fla.Keys, where i was raised ,just like it probably . That old Panama red was pretty good too.

              What's a lid?

That was the first measure of herb I encountered in the late '60's. The stash was kept in a box, with a lid. Measure the herb into the lid, bag it up for sale. Of coarse you could get a 3 finger lid or a 5 finger lid which was the measure once bagged.
              $10-$20.

I remember it first came in a metal Prince Albert can with a lid on it. Or in a Match box. I'm going way back now. $20 bucks a lid or $5 bucks a Match box.

              $15 a lid - but for $5 you could get a 'nickle bag.' $5 for a gram of hash - $25 a quarter ounce.

Canuck, I noticed you're growing Black Jack. Have you ever grown it before ? If not, you're in for some of the best tasting smoke ever. I'm savoring my last 2 jars.
