    Newbie Question on Lollipopping

I grew a couple plants outside last year. I moved them into my sun-porch at the end of the year and did a lot of research on feeding schedules. I just wanted to keep it simple. The results were great. After some additional research, I decided to try some different methods and incorporate different techniques in my grow this year. I have a 32"x32" tent and a Growhydro 300w LED light on my porch currently. I've culled some of my plants and have put all my attention into just one. I topped her and have used LST to increase bud sites. I'm about 19 days into 12/12 and I'm having a hard time deciding how much under growth to take off as I've taken off a bit already. Looking forward to my first grow journal which will start in November.

Nice plant- it's hard to tell without a complete plant pic from the side, along with total height. you want to make sure you keep enough for the light to be optimal and not remove what could be full buds.
It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

I'm in the same position brother. I'm doing a res change and defoliation after work.

My thoughts are to remove the spindly lower branches and most of the big fan leaves leaving a few here and there and strip everything below the light "line"

Yeah, I've been picking away over the last two weeks odds and ends that don't look like they are going to amount to anything. However, big bud or popcorn nug, its demise is still the same. I may try and move some of the branches around a little more to open up some space and then do a final cut and see what happens. I know my internodal space is not as tight as I hoped for to make those large colas, but I think they'll pack on some weight over the next three weeks.

I've been doing the same. Waiting for tonight has been a challenge. But tonight is gonna be a massive defoliation, and super cropping tops down for a more even canopy.

I've been growing outdoors and did a lot of research on defoliation and the pro's and con's. I had a sign of powdery mildew and freaked so I did a huge defoliation. I took out all the lower branches and most of the large fan leaves. The ladies reacted extremely well. One of my Sativas double over night !!! The only problem I had that was not a positive result was one of my longer flowering period Sativas looks like she got stunted. BUT all the other 8 plants are doing remarkably well!!!! AND no more sign of mold !

Open her up some more let the air get to them buds, loose the popcorn buds at the bottom u want that energy going to the top to build bigger buds.my 2 cents

Isn't it funny as to how leggy they look after the process!
