    Any advice for drying?

My situation is I'm here in Southern California and the temps are about to go up to 85 degrees for a few days just about when it's time to cut down my 5 plants. I can't find anywhere in my house that's less than 78 degrees, which I know is too hot to properly dry. I was thinking about using my small guest room and placing a portable AC unit in there to try and keep temps down to 70 degrees.

I'm assuming that the AC is going to be running the majority of the day. Will that air or the amount of air movement in the room have any negative effect on the drying process? Any other suggestions?

California is just too hot most of the time. I think I've learned my lesson and will be growing indoors during the winter from now on. Thanks.

Great grow, da!!!! I dry my herb in a dark closet at 74 degrees. AC is running now, humidity is around 50% in the house and 90% outside, I don't worry about it too much cuz the dry and cure seem to be working well on my weed. I don't think you need wet towels unless you're in AZ with 5% humidity... I would think that a wet towel in a closet might encourage mold or rot...

Hanging the whole plant intact and upside down will slow the process. You should be ok. Hang a damp bath towel in the same closet will add humidity and further slow things down. Keep the buds separated from each other, and keep an eye peeled for any bud rot.

Looks like you have a modern house. crank the AC dude. You might need to add humidity with AC cranked. I can get my house down to 68 with 110 outside but 5% humidity. If you got the $ crank away.

All good and valid answers to the question. Just do the best u can at slowing down the drying possess a pan of water in the room with a fan, cover any windows in the area stay on the dark side and chill,it's OK! Lol
