Possible hermie situation?! First time in need of help!

Hello again! Feeling pretty devastated this morning... Got a couple clones a few months back from a reputable dispensary, one Killawatt & one Gorilla Glue #4... Transplanted them into some Fox Farms soil, using Fox Farms Nutrient trio, outdoor grow so we've been struggling with a major heat wave for the past month and a half & I had to treat them with some Spinosad spray for leaf miners earlier this week... Killawatt has been in the flowering stage for about a month or so, GG for almost two weeks... I started bringing them in at night a couple weeks ago due to an untrustworthy neighbor... Which brings me to my newest issue, I think. I was checking them out last night &-noticed something different on Killawatt... After doing some research &-looking at some pics on the Grow Weed Easy site, I'm almost positive that Killawatt is turning into a hermie. I'm worried about GG as well since they've been kept so close together &-I think I.see signs that she might be in the early stages of turning as well. This is my first grow so I'm trying not to be too hard on myself but these girls have been like my babies & I'm pretty heartbroken. Please take a look at the pics & let me know what you think. First 3 are Killawatt, last 3 GG #4. If they are turning, how should I proceed? These 2 plants were supposed to cover me & my boyfriend's personal supply for the year, so even if our yield goes down or we have to pick seeds out, we'll deal with it, as long as it's not a total loss. Also, I saw on the Grow Weed Easy site that you can pick those little male sac things off, although it did say that wasn't advisable... Why is that? Isn't it worth a shot? Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. I'm so heartbroken right now. Thanks!

I am only a beginner so take what I say with a grain of salt BUT I only see swelling calyces (which does not indicate going hermie). Someone with more first-hand knowledge will be along shortly to confirm or correct me. I just wanted to put your mind at ease, or at least give you a glimmer of hope.

Oh my goodness, if you're right that would be AMAZING! It does seem like there was some conflicting information... Some pics that looked just like mine said they were definitely hermies, others said different... I really hope I'm just trippin & over thinking it. But if they are turning, I kinda wouldn't be surprised due to tge heat & other stress factors. Thank you so much for replying! Fingers crossed, lol...

The easy for sure ID is if pistils are coming out of the swollen sac, it is 100% just a calyx. So if all have pistils, you're golden. (I don't think they will always have a pistil showing so if they don't all have pistils you don't have to start sweating just yet. But like I said, wait for an expert to show up. I'm sure one will be along aaaaany minute now.

Hi MissyB. I don't see any evidence in the pictures you included of a hermie situation starting. It just looks like your girls are fattening up!

If you did have a hermie, it would look more like this:

You will notice on that page below the hermies are "nanners" which are like a horn coming out from the bud as seen here:

I don't see either thing in your photos, which is a good thing! Best of luck with everything!

Whoever's growing a small patch of cannabis behind the gymnasium, congratulations! You have won a cruise! Report to security to claim your tickets.

Oh my gosh, what a relief! Thank you so much for replying, & with good news! I'm super new to this & with my inexperienced eyes, I kinda thought the things on my plant looked similar to that top picture on the right, lol... I showed my boyfriend & he thought the same... I do kinda see the difference now, mine have the pistils growing out of them. I think I've been reading through too many of these forum topics, lol... Too much info. has me paranoid, lol. Beyond happy to know it was a false alarm! Thanks again y'all!

No worries. Always better to check if you don't know. They can look awfully similar sometimes. The key is if you see clusters of them versus just one on each side and if they have hairs coming out the end (that part is often harder to see).
