Help needed for my 3 ladies...

    Hello fellow growers,

I'm a new grower so don't shoot me if i say wrong things, i'm also not from Amerika or Uk so my English writing could also be a bit wrong ...

Anyway, my plants are now in veg for about 3 months. I thought, its beter to do things slowly and not put any pressure on me and the plants.
Now, i'm gradually bringing them into flowering stage. I do this by giving them everyday 15 min. more darkness so they think the seasons are changing.
but while i'm doing that i've checked the Ph of the runoff and it was way to low around 5.4 - 5.3 (and i grow in soil) The EC was also around 4.8 - 5.0... So i was kind a worried but the strange thing was that i never had any nutrient deficiency's neither nutrient burn problems? my plants look quite healthy i thought...maybe strong genetics?
My concerns begun when i mostly read about EC values round 2.0 during late stages of flowering... so i did some research and because they have still two more weeks until they reach the full 12/12 cycle i decided to flush them just to make sure there are no salt-buildup's by the roots... I hope they recover in 2 or 3 days because i need to transplant them aswel before flowering.
I know it's a lot of stress for them and i wil check them every day if they recovering so until then i do nothing.
After that they have stil 10 day's to settel before 12/12 kicks in fully.

My question is, are these PH-EC values seriously out of range? Is this because i veged longer than other growers and thats why EC is that high?
What do you think about flushing them 2 weeks before flowering? Maybe this was not needed but i thought maybe they need les nitrogen and other nutrients so they can pick up new nutrients after the transplanting is done...
And should i put some calcium into the new medium to balance the Ph beter? How do u manage the right Ph all the time?

I hope i didn't ruined my plants with that flushing but 5.0 EC was in my eyes to high going and the PH was also very low. So i hope my thought where right.
I'm growing purple buds from white label/sensi seeds so the genetics are from a wel known bank... My PH and EC meter are from bluelab and i've calibrated them recently so that the readings are as correct as possible.
My fertilizers i use are from Canna the full 100% organic Bio-line and i follow the schedule they prescribe.
I vedged them under 8 TL light bulbs and now i'm switching them to a K3 L600 kind LED light...

Foto's are from 06-07-2017 but i wil upload new soon !

    Thanks !!

Are you using any nutrient? I use fox farm trio and check PH of the mix before use. They have a complete feeding schedule that is pretty handy

Hey HG88, I'll try to give some advice and hopefully a few others will give their opinions. First of all, the plants look good from what I can see. For PH, make sure you are mixing all nutrients with the water before you check PH. Let the mix sit for awhile and then get you PH between 6.3 and 6.8 in soil. You can lean a bit high on the PH going in to try to raise the runoff PH is little. As for EC and flushing. Yes, it may be a good idea to give them a mini-flush to make sure salts aren't building up.Give them about a gallon of PH'd water each, wait 15 minutes, then give them another gallon. Remove run-off. The containers look small from what I can see so transplant before flower if you can (tough to see how big pots are compared to plant). As for flower schedule, I would stop adjusting the light, stabilize in veg, then flip to 12/12 in one shot. This is just my opinion, but I think the plant may stress with constant lighting changes. Hope this helps!

Hello Sheesh, Thanks for your advice! Yes i do measure the ph after everything is in the water but maybe i should wait a little longer perhaps before i measure the solution.
we are now 2 days after the flushing and they are doing quite wel i think, i wil post fotos that i took today. I wil stil feed them and water every other day this is what i didn't do. I've only fed them when the soil begun to dry out :s ... I also don't know if that lighting cycle is the best option but i saw a grower doing it and he says its a bit like in real nature... it gradually gets more night, so from that perspective i could follow his thoughts. I't seemed logical to me but i don't really know if that grower is right... on the other hand, if you see that guy's plants you can tell he know a lot of growing... Even in the more expensive Kind LED's are build in dimers to mimic the sun so why would that be? Anyway, i bought new pots today and i'm going to transplant them on Sunday.
So if your plant going in to flower do you give them new soil with les nitrogen and start giving them bloom fertilizers (organic hopefully ^^) right of the back with te 12/12 licht cycle? Or do you gradually reduce nutrients a bit and give them bloom product in smal amounts with the reduced veg products? Or how do you manage it?

      Thanks again!

Take a look at this link and download the schedule that fits what your using. http://www.cannagardening.ca/downloads/71
I dont think watering/feeding every other day is a good idea. You could easily over water them and I typically only give nutrient every other feeding and just water in between and thats every 4-5 days depending on how they look. I think start with good fresh soil and find the right feeding schedule for you nutrients. I dont know much about the light schedule your using but your growing indoor so why try to recreate outdoor schedule? Good luck with the transplant.

Yes, you'r right about the watering ! i always wait a few days until the pots feel light enough But i fed them to much... i never gave them Ph'ed water in between so that's my mistake... i hope they recover well.
But i don' see any problems why not to mimic nature a bit indoor, like i said, the more expensive Kind leds have build in dim program to mimic morning sunrise and nightfall... I'm just doing what i think is best and i know mistakes can be made
I do follow the schedule from Canna bio line but i wil manage it beter after the transplant. Thanks for your advice !

Here is a link of the guy from who i got it about the light cycle... https://youtu.be/EvmhquykYls

Dont get me wrong, not saying there is a problem trying to mimic the sun but i dont see the point. I personally run 24hrs under a 600w LED for vegging. Others do 18/6. There's reasons why indoor is typically better than outdoor. My buddy has one of the lights your referring to and his quality isnt there and it cost him $1500. I just agree with sheesh, shock them with one light change instead of a bunch. Really, to each their own tho. I would find other videos and tutorials on the matter if your going to continue that method. It seemed like that guy was still learning himself. (only cuts on a full moon?lol) Keep it simple. I do wish you the best of luck and hope everything works out.

Yeah, those LED's are pretty expensive... i wil do some more research but the problem often is that there is so much controversy on the internet about different techniques that sometimes you just need to cut to the chase and try it out yourself to see what happens Nice picture by the way! Best luck for you two.

I hear you there! Everyone has an opinion or a different way to do things. I joined this site because its the most helpful to me. It explains everything in detail and usually with pictures. You need to do what works for you. Don.t over care for them and its all trial and error. I'm far from an expert lol. I make mistakes all the time and hope for the best. Keep us posted on how its going.

Water them when needed. Set your light and leave it alone , switch to 12-12 once. Like they say above.
