HELP! Go up or stay down?

Currently the grow room is on ground level, I enjoy this because of the following pros. Easy to access, easy to hide being a stealth grower, easy to manage due to AC/heating capabilities. Now the cons that I see, easy to aces for me means it also is for others, lays on the outside of the house and smell issues worry me even with a carbon filter (paranoia). During the current remodeling of the electrical system in my home I found an almost full attic unfinished by the previous owners, no A/C or heat, no fresh air regulations. But I wanted to hear from attic growers specifically but any input is as always welcomed from anyone! I would like to move my grow to the attic but want to know any precautions, words of advice, or ides on how I should go about this, thank you all and happy growing!

I grew in the basement at first then moved it to the attic, more for family reasons than stealth. I have central a/c and there is one small vent in the walk up attic. The central AC does not have enough power that high in the house to really cool the whole space, but it helps. I have a done a few things to turn the attic into a decent environment. I have a fan grabbing the air from the central AC vent and directing it across the room towards my tent intake. I also use an 8000 BTU portable A/C and have a 4 " duct from the AC unit to one of the tent lower ports. The exhaust is vented into a hole in the ceiling and up towards the roof peak. There is a ridge vent on the roof so the exhaust goes out of the house. I also need to run a 70 pint dehumidifier in flower because I only grow in the hot months due to my schedule. I also bought some 4x8 sheets on 1 inch insulating sheets and velcro them to the ceiling in the tent area. With all this, the attic itself is 78-80 on hot days. The tent with veg light is about 75 during lights on, 72 in lights off. Around 82 max with flower lamp on. I run the light from 6 pm to noon for veg and 6 pm to 6 am for flower. This schedule means lights on is in the cooler parts of the day. Good luck. It can be done but need to be planned.
