    Here's one I made earlier!!!!

Hi all, I can't afford a reflector hood right now so I made my own today. I used 7 pieces of card, 1 roll of foil, a gluestick, red tape, sellotape, some bamboo skewers and a turkey basting tray, it cost less than £5 to make(about $7 I think!)and around 3 hrs to build, I think it will be better than not having one, let me know if you think it will/wont work, thanks
The more I know, the better I grow.

    Good job Vapo

It works for now, but you want the double ended reflector with the exhaust fan to take that wet air out of the grow space.

    Your plants are beautiful.

These aren't to bad of a cost but important to know information....

Thanks karlee, I have an oscillating fan clipped to a shelf above blowing down, I don't know the rh in there but it doesn't seem too bad. Don't think I can make a rh meter haha so I will make one of these my next purchase, thanks

We never had a problem with wet air. Maybe growing in soil is different than hydro. Just a small fan blowing a gentle breeze at each end of the tent was all we needed. We did open front tent flaps during light hours.

It actually looks pretty effective as a reflector! Definitely a creative DIY solution! Just make sure you have a fire alarm in there, and keep a close eye to make sure nothing ever touches the bulbs themselves

Thank you, the bulbs themselves hang pretty much out of it and they are cfl so not much heat, I check my plants about every 10 minutes haha, first growers curse I guess, but I won't ignore fire/safety advice as I know how dangerous fire is. Thanks

Ditto the fire alarm! I did construction all my life and a church I was building had entry doors to the sanctuary with a lower soffit above them with a light.! While installing the hardware on the door it was propped open and the light was inches away from it. I was walking by and noticed the door was smoking! The architect changed the light fixture! Could have been a bad thing!

Same as you mate, I worked construction for many years and have heard/seen many horror stories, I am being careful and I know fire is dangerous, thanks for your concern

I used an aluminum mixing bowl for a DIY reflector. Drilled some holes to let heat escape.
