Curling and twisted leaves on new growth

Hello there fellow enthusiasts- I'm brand new to the site (but I have been creepin awhile trying to find answers.) I'm new at this, my very first grow. I've completed the questions for soil grower and have attached them below. I'm growing 2 different strains, blue dream auto and blue cheese. Same tent, same water, same light schedule (20/4) , with the exact same growing medium. The blue cheese seems happy as can be, however the blue dream is being a little cranky. lol. The leaves are curling, and I'm worried for her. She seems to be asking for help. I'm wondering if the water softener is causing the problems for this plant and just not affecting the other? Could this be that I need to add Cal/Mag? I haven't added any nutes at all yet, as they won't even be 3 weeks old until this Sat. I've googled light burn, and it doesn't seem to be that. I'm at a loss. Does this look familiar to anyone? Ugh!
And of course I'm having trouble uploading photos so I tried to do the 'Imgur" thing. I'm hoping I did it right.

    1. Are you growing from seed or clones? Seed- Blue Dream Auto
    2. How old are your plants? 2 weeks 5 days. Their birthday is Sat. they will be 3 weeks old. J
    3. How tall are your plants? 4.5”
    4. What size containers are they planted in? 5 Gallon smart pots- directly from germination
    5. What is your soil mix? Fox Farms Ocean Forest.
    6. How often do you water and what type of water do you use? About every 3-4 days? As needed really. I have well water with a water softener.
    7. What is the pH of your water? I Ph my water to 6.0-6.5
    8. What kind of fertilizer do you use and what is its NPK ratio? I have not used any fertilizer on them at all yet.
    9. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything? No. I may mist the leaves with ph’ed water from time to time.
    10. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights"): I use LED only. The light reads as follows:
    SPIDER-60LED-Dim
    Power Consumption: 139W (+/- 5%)
    Flux:8188Lm
    Voltage:85-265V
    Frequency: 56/60Hz
    Amp: 1.262A/110V
    11. How close are your lights to the plants? 12”
    12. What size is your grow space in square feet? 20 Sq. ft. (2’x2’x5’)
    13. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space? Temperature lingers in the 70’s and humidity ranges from 50-65
    14. What is the pH of the soil? Not sure
    15. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space? 2 or 3 gnats. Nothing major
    16. How much experience do you have growing? None. This is my maiden voyage.

I'll do that now, this morning she seems worse. The curling leaves feel thin, almost like tissue paper and the new sprouting leaves look like they're also afflicted. Will it affect the other plant too much if I move up the LED? Thank You so much, I woke up this morning and ran to my laptop to see if I had any possible solutions.

Moving the LED will not adversly affect the other plant, as the light has more than enough umoles for veg @ 18" according to the manufactures info!

🌱 Is it possible to post a picture of the plant in the setup?

If it's really small, you might want to keep the light 24" at first, just in case the plant is really sensitive. Once it starts growing it will grow closer to the light quickly! Are the symptoms the worst in the parts of the plant that are closest to the LED? It's normal for different plants to be able to handle different amounts of light. Sometimes you'll have one strain that's thriving in light levels that would kill a different plant. So you have to see what each individual plant is trying to tell you.

Is it droopy? If so it's a sign there may be something with either how much water you're giving at a time or how often you're watering. That wouldn't be too surprising because a 5" seedling in a 5 gallon pot is really small and the young roots are surrounded by tons of soil so they're aren't drinking very much. If you're soaking the medium then it likely is staying wet for too long. The fact that you've seen some gnats is another side that you may be unintentionally giving your seedlings more what than they can use, because fungus gnats only appear when the topsoil is staying wet for more than a few days at a time.

Sometimes when the plant is really small it can help to give just a little water at first in a little circle around the base of the plant, maybe a few cups at a time. Once the plant is drying faster than 2-3 days, it means you should give more water at a time. Eventually when the plant is big enough you'll be able to soak the whole thing and it will be drinking fast enough to dry it up in just a few days

It sounds like you're doing a great job so far if one is thriving and one only has some minor problems on your very first grow! 🌱

What I do at the onset, for auto's is place the LED @ 28" after the first leaves appear and leave it alone and let it grow into the range- which is usually lasts until flower and then adjust it to about 14-16" until done.

Keep in mind, each LED has a different distance- even within the same company, series etc.
I fried a set of auto's setting a MarsHydro reflector96 at 28"- even though the manufacturer's recommened distances were the same as the MarsHydro reflector48!
