No problem, Capn! I was just reading some more about this today, and I"m more and more convinced that I need to do it more often, on a regular basis. I've read that it's good once a week: 7 days on nutes, 48-hour flush, back on nutes. What I do is just add Advanced Nutes Flawless Finish and pH the water, and leave it for 2 days. I have seen the plants really perk up after a flush. I need to be NOT lazy about doing this for my girls, cuz it IS more of a pain in the butt with hydroponics than with soil....

Could you explain how you flushed . I know it sounds silly but I've been a bit afraid cause their doing ok. But noticing nute uptake is down to nothing . Thanks your always so good at advice

All four plants are now budding. Had some issues with nutrient lockout last week, so I flushed them with AN Flawless Finish and decided to switch them over to AN nutrients for the rest of the grow. I'm becoming convinced, the more I read about nutrient companies and their research or lack thereof, that I will stick with AN from now on.

So the C99 was the only plant to show problems, and at first I thought it was calcium deficiency, which I then determined wasn't possible. Then I read a lot about nutrient lockout, and I've got a lot written up in my notes. An often overlooked but crucial issue to understand. It just reinforces the importance of regular 48-hour flushes every other week or even every week.

Right now they are on 25% strength nutes, until they show me some vigorous growth. But I can see today that C99's color is coming back in and I believe she'll be all right. She has the biggest buds.

I'm not sad Jeg: I assumed there'd be at least 1 male, and I been looking for him all along. That's how it goes with regular seeds. Just glad he's out.

Now I'm down to four plants--more breathing space. I tied them down and I defoliated. Now I'm going to watch them grow.

Aw, my comment was regarding the maleness, not that he got the chop -- you did what had to be done. Also, +1 for the Violent Femmes reference.

That's exactly right! Growing regular seeds is quite educating. I feel lucky that (I believe) 2 out of 3 are female.

    Aloner Had to be done.

Minoo96 I dunno, my friend: I'm pretty glad I got him out of there!!!

MommaBear They are regular seeds, so I've been on the lookout for weeks.

intergalactic_harvester He dead. Jed is dead.

GanjaGed Now THAT would raise some suspicions with the neighbors, since these babies are already quite fragrant... Besides, this ain't Salem and he wasn't no witch!!
