Hello All,
Just when I thought things were going well because my plant finally proved itself to be female! There were some dead leaves chilling at the base of the stem that I didn't bother to move until today and when I did, I saw some barnacle-looking things. So upon closer inspection and breathing close to it, I noticed that everything was moving. Not the barnacles, but the area all around the base of the stem. Suuuuper tiny clear/tan bugs all around the base and the soil. Obviously I'm upset about this but I'm hoping to resolve this ASAP. I checked the entirety of the plant above the base and saw no movement or evidence of them. Hopefully I can kick their ass before it's too late. Based on what I saw on the how-to areas of the site, these are most likely scale bugs...not really sure what they're actually called, but from the look of the barnacles, what else could they be? They are super stealthy until I lightly blow on the area and then they're moving like crazy and I see just how many there are. I'm just a few days into flowering, so I have to assume they were there before but I can't believe I didn't notice earlier. Oh well.
Anyway, I wanted to get advise - I'm not sure if I should get neem oil or spinosad. I've ordered a one-hand pressure sprayer, which will be here Monday. I've seen support for both options and I want to choose between those two given the many other options.
Thank you as always!
