I started out using Roots Organic Original and then added a few amendments to the next batch, if the current grow showed a deficiency or problem.
This is a quick photo-HOW TO and what mixture I ended up with over time.
Start with 1 bag of Roots Organic Original (1.5l)- spilt equally between two 5 gallon pails.
OPTIONAL - set aside a small amount for use with seeds.
Add 3/4 cup of Dolomite Lime to each 5 gallon pail.
Add 35g of Epsoms salt to each 5 gallon pail. Tumble the pail to mix and stir in.
I topdress the pail with 2 ounces of DE- before storing it for a few weeks usually.
Optional: NEEM cake and BTi can be added - I don't always add these.
These soil amendments did not increase the odor of the soil.
