What are your thoughts?

Anyone here ever cut down the colas closer to the light and continue letting the plant grow normally? I can only imagine this creates stress but I cant help to imagine the lower buds exploding now because they are getting the new attention. Thoughts?

Yes- "staged harvesting" is a valid way to increase yields by letting light to the lower buds which will fatten up for a few more weeks.
I do it anytime I do not need the tent space, for other plants. It's amazing how much more you get with very little extra work.
You will have to cure the buds seperately, but can combind them once they are totally cured.
