question about Captain Jacks insecticidal super soap

Is this soap ok to use on buds ? I am older and my vision not the best.. discovered an aphid issue on my autoflower plants that are close to being mature , perhaps 2 weeks out.. I freaked out and ran to home depot last night for SOMETHING... will this safely treat the aphids crawling on my luscious greenery ?

Insecticidal soaps are just lye and fat. For plants they probably use Potassium hydroxide and some sort of oil. You can make it at home.

Its a mix of potasium salts and spinosad... in the future i will def. concoct a home brew for insect control ... I have the product now tho... Is it safe for almost ripe buds ?

Toxicity: May cause eye irritation, but other wise non-toxic to humans. Spinosad is not acutely toxic to birds, wildlife or fish. Highly toxic to beneficial bees, but is negligible when applications are made when bee activity is low and the spray deposits have been allowed to dry. In 1999, Spinosad received the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award for chemical products that reduce negative impacts on human health and the environment.

Do not use spinosad on buds, it has not been tested and who knows what it may do to you when smoked. Err on the safe side.
ISO (rubbing alcohol) mixed with water is safe, mix 1 part ISO to 8 parts water (I go 50/50). Spray the underside first then the top and soak it good. Also the pot, soil, floor, everything. Just like spinosad it is a contact killer so it needs to be done every 3 days for at least 3 treatments. With lights out, just before dark or just after sun up.
Ladybugs luv to eat aphids and spider mites, and make little ladies for next year.

In the 80's or so for the aphids on soybeans they imported Asian ladybugs. They are brownish yellow and did a remarkable job. But they bite and when you squish them they stink!
