ProTekt & General Hydroponics pH UP- should it be used through flower?

I started using Dyna-Gro ProTekt to increase pH of water and also to mix with NEEM.
At some point, I began to read that people would stop using Pro-Tekt (silicon) anywhere from week two in flower to mid-flower stage.

I bought General Hydroponics pH UP, (thanks Nebula), because it is a Ph stabilizer with potassium carbonate.
Can you use GH pH UP- through flower?

Is there any credible reason to stop using Pro-Tekt? and if so at what point?
My best guess is the growth has all but stopped around mid flower.

Protekt is a silica if I'm not mistaken. Silica helps the plant to create stronger plant matter. Stalks and leaves are typically heartier with Silica supplemented. I've heard bugs have a harder time with silica treated plants too as they have a harder time penetrating the plant matter. I use silica through veg and flower.

Probably don't need to use it after week 4-5 of flower since the plant is devoted to bud development at that point. I keep using it in the hopes it keeps the branches stronger so I don't have to tie colas to my reflector....
