Philips Plant & Aquarium 40 watts 4' - T12 tubes

Hello folks. This is my first post on this neat site. I usually do outdoors crops. However, I've been the recipient of a box of these (band new) 8 or 10 and they're 1600 lumens. I have 4 of them in a fixture and figured I should give them a try on some new found beans. Does anyone have suggestions or experience with this kind of tube. Is it better to just use regular daylight bulbs? I would like to give this a try. Or should I abandon this for something else? Help would be greatly appreciated as I've never attempted growing indoors. Thank you.

If anything use them for vegetating but you need more for the flower stage . I have T5 4 tubes fluorescent light it puts out 6400 lumens. I use that for veg. then go to 600 watt halide. People from here have all kinds of lights just keep looking for one that will work for you.
