Here’s my stunted plant that I didn’t realise when I had to start feeding, she’s bouncing back but I’m just wondering if there’s any tips you guys could give me going forward? At the moment I water about half a litre every two days with 9ml canna a+b to a coco perlite mix. She’s got a lot of variety in the leaves at the moment, any ideas?

I just put this in another post, one of the most common mistakes in regards to popping seeds and something that will absolutely stunt growth -

Watering seedlings in that large of a pot is tough. Smaller, starter containers are good because there is only a little soil mass to match up with the little amount of root mass. This makes it easier to keep the desired water to oxygen ration in your soil in check. With large pots, there is so much water going in and very little roots, they essentially are sitting in over damp conditions.

That would be my advice. She looks like she is an auto flower and is already beginning to flower. Might pull 7 grams by the time its done?
 
Awesome thank you! Yeah she’s an auto in a fabric pot, i was extremely conservative with the water for ages and probably fed about 3 weeks too late.
I’ve cut extra holes in the bottom of the pot too so it dries very quickly, I’m satisfied that I haven’t over watered considering that. And I’ve pretty much always fed in a ring around the plant to try and encourage some root growth. I’m just glad to see something come of her.
End of the month I’m going to buy a photo period and grow it along with her for the final days and do a nice long veg and some LST and topping, bit of botanical wizardry!
 
Sounds like a plan. I enjoy the photoperiod plants because you can make mistakes and have the chance to correct everything before deciding to flower. With autos, they decide for you.
 
I know very little about coco, only what I’ve read on here, but I think you have to start feeding in coco very early because I don’t think it has any natural nutrition in it.
 
Right. I use coco for clones and for mother plants. After a clone roots, I wet the coco with a nute solution at about 500 TDS after moving into its new home. It's light enough to not burn the clone and it keeps the mothers from growing too fast.
 
We will have to agree to disagree on pot sizes. I start mine in their final 20+ gallon pots and have no transplant issues. I do use smaller pots inside, but they ares till the final home for the plant.
 
Rwise especially for autos....almost all the people that I’ve heard from that are auto/soil growers said the same thing, start in final pot.
