I made a batch of Coco Coir for the first time, following Nebula’s instructions at https://www.growweedeasy.com/coco-coir#how-to-rehydrate-coco-coir-perlite – the only thing I did differently was I added in the “double buffer†steps from https://www.cocoforcannabis.com/how-to-prepare-and-buffer-coco-coir/#howtobuffer. However, I ended up with about two thirds of the expected amount of growing medium, and had to rehydrate and buffer a third brick to get enough to fill three 3-gallon fabric pots. Is this normal?
I double-checked the amounts of materials that I used for the first batch (two 650g bricks, one 8-quart bag of pearlite), so that was not the issue. I used a different brand of brick – could that have made a difference?
