I was thinking of getting 4 Platinum LED P600's for my 4x8 tent with around 8 plants in the tent. I was wondering if you guys thought this was the best choice of LED lighting

Hello Blue damn right that's a good choice ,pretty expensive, but you get what you pay for. Have you read up on the 315 lec.??

Dude some growers on here get amazing results with p600's.......and the p300 for that matter...like DAAS said p600 is a good choice dude:)

Alright awesome, are my calculations correct? 4 p600s for a 4x8 tent with 8 plants in flowering? i was thinking if it would be better to just get 1 p1200?

In a large tent, more lights can provide more coverage footprint. I'm not sure you could cover 8 plants with one light. You can do two bigger lights as long as they can each flower a 4x4 footprint. I've seen good results on this forum with the Platinum lights. I use a California Light Works Solar Storm 440 and it's a powerful light and it gives me great results, but it's rated for 3x3 and they are expensive. You could use two of their CLW SS880s and cover that space but two of those is probably close to 3k. Kind Led are another high end LED but again they're expensive. Like DAAAS69 said, check out the 315 LEC, the results on this forum are amazing. You'd have to check on the coverage to figure out if two is enough. Good Luck!

i think you should do some research into COB led. There is a guy names growmau5 who has a bunch of youtube videos and I myself am going to be switching from the galaxyhydro 300's to a full cob setup.
