I have 2-600watt MH lights going only at 250watt's...Dimmable ballast. Today I hitched up the exhaust fan, *440CFM's" and the lights are cool....At this point I am wondering?...I no longer have to do the hand test.....Do I need to buy a LUX METER..? Thoughts...(INTERESTING)....

hi guys! we opted for the lux meter. my wife and I are both welders so our hands aren't very sensitive to heat! its cheap, its on the shopping list in the site, and you can be much more accurate with it. measuring height and "hand testing" only get you kinda close. super easy to use also, didn't need my wife to figure it out for me! there is also a chart in there that shows lux ranges for the different stages of growth. happy farming

I got a cheap lux meter on Amazon so I can test the strength of my MH and HPS bulbs as they age.
