New grower, 2nd planting...this is the first true planting where I have an actual set up instead of a makeshift room my husband did years ago . I am using autoflower seeds and am doing LST. I am about 4 weeks of doing this. As my plants have grown I have introduced a new LST to branches off the main stem. My husband says that only the main stem is trained and the off branches grow up. He says I've stunted the plants (growing Gelato, LSD, and cheese ) ..
am I wrong? Please direct me!!!
My photos for some reason won't upload to show

Maybe you'd better stop if we can't see what your doing. Very soon those side branches will get VERY brittle an snap easy so i'd stop now. Their a bit more touchy than photo period plants.

I've attempted several times to upload pics to this forum...all state "unknown error ". With IMGUR shutting down as soon as I upload..
my branches are still pliable.. i am at approximately 6 weeks in dirt..
I really wasn't looking for smart-ass comments just a question about LST only the main stem or also doing LST on branches..
Obviously my conception of a helpful forum was wrong..
Thanks for the help...geez

Touchy touchy, maybe I should not comment here. The problem with the pics is likely they are to big, I too get that with large pics.
Many growers will say not to do this to autos, others do it. The news letter is great, heres grow info from it on autos wild vs trained, maybe think about signing up for the news letter. Autos can be stunted easily, and will not recover from it well as they dont have the time to do it.

So who is the smart ass? I dont see anything but good info.

LOL gotta laugh at that reply from you Nsparky1. Sure go ahead do it bend that main stalk down and tie off those side branches then come back an blame us for giving you info that we have experienced from growing. The time clock is ticking.

It is my belief that the point of LST is to maintain a flat top. So yes the main and yes the sides. Flat top makes all the bud sites have equal light. I have only grown autos and this is what I do every time. Hope this helps.

True what BU2B says....i'm always honest no BS grower, i have snapped autos during training many times because they will get stiff which is why i said what i did. Without the experience from growing autos this is just one reaction they have as they age very quickly, snap easy. Good luck

I have grown a couple of Autos and used LST on every branch, no topping. It exposes the buds to more light and has increased yield.

Does anyone know, when pics are uploaded, is embedded data (like GPS location if you take it with your phone) stripped out of the image data? If the forum software doesn't do it, can anyone recommend a way to do that before I upload pics that give a way all my secrets to those who know how to read them?
