So Frisian dew is growing to town. Seems pretty resilient to high moisture so far. This week calling for high heat and humidity just like most of this land. See how see fares..
Not growing outside anymore either, I just don’t get enough sun at my place, but I miss the chance to grow big plants just for the fun of it
.
She’s looking good
She keeps trucking…fighting the humidity and heat . Added a few lag bolts to the branches to open the middle a bit..had the right size socket to attach them😎
On the real hot days I spray the outside of my fabric pots in the greenhouse at least twice a day to keep the root zone cool and slow evaporation. But keep in mind some water will go thru the fabric to the soil. So not a good idea if you can't water straight from your hose. I'm lucky to have good well water.
Girls are showing starting to flower. A little nervous with the humidity and heat this year but so far so good..Frisian dew, early riser and apricot scorn every 7-10 days been spraying neem oil and altering copper fungicide. Probably need to back off the neem when sometime soon and start hitting it with some BT. Did pick these stains for their resistance to mold and mildew.
Luckily the weather is finally cooling off mid to upper 80 and humidity lower this week too. Actually go outside and not break out sweating just standing around. Girls are a little heat stressed but should rebound. Frisian dew, early riser and apricot scone.
