apparently we are skipping winter this year....heat was the main culprit with my problems. The final solution was to basically install a window unit in my enclosure. Not really what I wanted to do, but at this point it is what it is. Temps are good now though, so hopefully these little guys will start sprouting rather quickly. Thanks everyone for the help!! in a week or so I will post a few follow up pictures.

Your very welcome any time. One really nice thing I will recomend I'd a acurite temp/ RH scale it's a digital scale and it's very cheap on ebay/ amazon it's very worth it. It tells u current RH and temp and records the last 24hours it's a very cheap way of tracing ur enviroment

vader4891 i'm kinda puzzled at how/why your heat is that high in the first place given your ambient temps are in the 60s....i have 3 different LED lights, 1 300W, 1 400W and 1 50W and they put out almost no heat. but they can light burn a plant...and quick. what was the closest you had your light to the top of the plant(s) and for how long was the light that close and what age was the plant when the light was the closest?

Some leds can burn warm I have a bestva 1000w and it's prob 4 times hotter than my 1200w from China leds. I have some planbts in a closet and when the doors are open temp is 72 when I close the door temp rises to 81 with 3 small fans and a air purifyer blowing into a 1 inch gap between the doors. All depends on the led
this winter, the 60's have been about as low as it gets. today for example, was 80 degrees. just like yesterday. those are the days that puts my system out of wack. and its only going to get warmer from here as we are only in Feb.
With regard to the LED height, I had it waaaayyyy too close early on, but it wasn't for long. for about 3 days i had it at 12" while i was still fine tuning the enclosure. from there i moved it up to about 18" but even at that time i was having over 90 degrees in the enclosure....again, as I was finalizing the design....I was hoping to take advatage of a southern US winter and harvest by summer, but that hasn't quite panned out like expected.
with all that being said, now that I KNOW my temps are ok, I can really start to play with the light to get the right height. i did notice that when I had it at around 23" i was getting good growth, but seemed to have some stretch.
