First time topping, mainlining

OK fellow growers this is my first. I need tutoring on this. My current grow. The single plant is the one I'm experimenting with. I'm not sure what it is. I don't even know if it is male or female. If I screw this up it won't mater. The others are my Black Jack. If I master this with the single plant then I will do it to my next grow. When should I start topping it ? It is about 2 weeks in it's current pot. This is from seed.

Remember topping at the 6th node is only the start for the main-line training has started with topping.

Like karlee said, the rule of thumb is six nodes, cut down to the third. You will then have two main colas start. Let them grow out to sixth node, cut back to the third. Now you have created a nice low even canopy. LST after that. Read GWE's tutorial, you don't have to follow it to a T, but the basics are then in easy step by step instructions with pictures.
