Figuring out grow light usage

Hi Chipmunk. A while back I decided to give autos a try. I grow indoors in a spare bedroom with two grow tents. One is a 4'x4'x7'11". I grow photos in there. Currently two at a time. The other tent is a 2'x4'x7'11". I use it to grow autos, also two at a time. I have been doing this for a couple of years now I think. The photos let me grow the Sativas that I want to and the autos keep me in a regular harvest. I have settled on Ace Seeds for their genetics and consistency in both their photo and auto seeds. Your comment about consistency struck a nerve. I'm with ya on that. Ace only breeds two autos. The one I really like is their Zamaldelica auto. It gives a nice harvest and kicks @ss. I would love to grow outdoors but my housing situation is better suited for indoor growing. Just my .02...happy growing.

Hello golfnrl. Chipmunk here. I noticed from one of your posts that you use an autopot system. Do you do that because you don't have much free garden time for hand watering or some plants are hard to reach or you just think that's the way to go? With that said is your system a commercial product or DIY? And do you have to sanitize that system often? Thanx

Hey Chipmunk When I started growing I was on the road a lot and needed a way to water my plants while I was away. I tried a total DIY self watering system. That got me by but I needed something more reliable. I found the autopot system and haven't looked back. I also had a lot of issues learning how to water the weed in my first grow. I just about loved my plants to death. So I switched to the autopot system. It is a commercial product. I like it because it doesn't require any electricity and works on gravity alone. The plants actually water themselves. When I bought the first system I was a new grower that needed the stability that it provided. Now, I have enough experience to hand water the weed correctly and don't really need the autopot system anymore. In fact, I am wrapping up a grow with one of two plants hand watered from day one to completion. I usually wipe out the reservoir when I add nutrients, but that's about it. I do use vinegar, soap, and water to clean the water lines, trays, and aquavalves in between grows Easy peasy.
