Bummer, thinking this is a male

My Aloe plant surprise sprout was doing so good, sure was hoping for a female but just wanted confirmation as this is the first cannabis plant I've ever grown. These are indeed male pre-flowers yes? Sure was fun topping and defoliating and watching it grow. I think I narrowed the possible strains down to white widow or gorilla glue #4. Oh well, won't be my last grow, I got the bug now. Is a male plant like this strictly compost or should I salvage anything? Is it worth trying to flower a small portion to hold on to pollen for breeding?

There are ways to preserve pollen. Males aren't completely useless. To me, those look like male pre flowers, but you can always put it into 12/12 to be sure

The deed is done and thanks for clarifying the sex. I figured it was male just didn't want to make a hasty decision.
