Any one using flora nova?

Hey Kaylee. A little off subject but you have encouraged me to try DWC in the past but I was hesitate because I thought it was too much work. After reading this week's GWE newsletter and visiting my local hydroponics store for supplies, I am coming around! My question is root rot. Guy at hydro store said it is not an issue if air stones are used but newsletter mentioned it often. How big of an issue is it for you and your grows?

It costs a few dollars but the hydroguard to me is a must if the roots get sick you lose the plant. I haven't tried growing without it if you do every night smell the res. if any any icky smells <----my technical term flush and redo. The air-stones are vital to giving the roots oxygen my first grow one came un plugged I didn't notice and the plant was small. The H.G has a bacteria that eats the bad things that can grow in the 10 gallons of water in 7-10 days, I always do 7 day.
I keep aquariums and use something called A.P.I stress zyme + it has bacteria that consumes sludge (same I think as Hydroguard) they are about the same price maybe the fish a little cheaper.
You'll like the dwc it isn't half the work as soil...LOL
