2 weeks into flowering and I may to change the dark times!

My flower tent has 2 clones @ 2 weeks into flowering currently with lights on 8AM-8PM.

If I were to change that to lights on 8PM-8AM. (for more heat at night)
What would be the best method to accomplish this?
 
canuck147 says it right max id do is 1 hour everyday. 1/2 hour on both sides. slow to not cause shock.
 
King is probably right on this. The plants really only care about getting their 12 hours of darkness. I freak out at the prospect of causing hermies.

I recently lost power and had to recalibrate my times. I'm rolling back to my original 2pm-2am lights on by 30 minutes a day. I'm at 4pm-4am today.

Probably overly cautious but whatever :p
 
The reason I was so quick to answer, is because I had a scheduling conflict where I couldn't turn my lights on when I should and I resorted to leave them off 'till the next cycle. I never had any ill affect from it. I wouldn't recommended too many times in the same grow. Don't want to push your luck. Once per grow. I don't think is going to hurt.
 
Assuming relatively stable genetics, I agree.

Until I get a few more grows under my belt, I'm going to continue to be cautious with these kind of things. It's good to know you have experience with this. You're a good dude King. I don't care what Greenie sais about you. :p
 
So much good input for this-
I was away for the weekend and the temps dropped to 63f and I had 2 seeds sprout in the veg tent, upon return (surprised), but the temps are on the way down and I do not want it to get any colder in either tent!

Keeping them in the dark- it will be if needed!
