Rootsruler nailed this one above.
Since you are growing Autos you can ignore that GH chart because it is intended for photo plants.
Consider this approach:
Seedlings-Veg: Use GH week 1 & 2
First sign of pistils: Use GH week 4
Flowering - white pistils: Use GH week 7
Late flower - red pistils...
SoOrbudgal: "Very interesting do the fabric pots allow all the roots to suspend in the fluid? Or is it similar to wicking up? They sit on those plates, water flows through then after a hr or so it all gets sucked/wicked up ?"
The secret sauce of Octopots is that they create a double root...
Rootsruler, StickyNugsAZ,
I'm reluctant to steer loyal GWE members to another website for info, but the links below offer a deep dive into the world of Octopots.
If anyone on GWE wants to try an inexpensive system that grows large plants in small pots using a relatively hands-off method, I'll...
There are far better options than the AC Infinity auto pots. These systems are of two types, Bottom Watering wicks, and true Octopots and their micro cousins. The difference is large, Wicks just keep a plant watered, Octopots create two entire root systems by design; one in the reservoir, one in...
YES, lots of people grow Flood & Drain hydro.... but maybe not in this forum.
I wonder if you have heard of OctoPots(tm) or their DIY version, the micro Octopots? Simply put, all the benefits and control your system offers with 25% of the effort.
Take a look in that direction for some new...
Greetings GWE Folks,
I don't visit as often as I should, but I am so pleased to see this idea taking hold that I feel the need to show some support!
I'll offer two packs of five beans of something really rare: 1st generation Feminized Frankenstein S1 seeds.
I created these from the clone-only...
Despite all the time I have spent on GWE, all that I've learned and shared, this is the first time I've posted any of the results of my growing efforts!
My Bad. So here's snap of my most unique success. This is an Acapulco Gold from the Woodstock Farmacy flowering (finally!!!) after 17 weeks of...
Hey folks, if you really want to experience the "State of the Art" in cannabis macrophotography invest a little time on this thread:

(not my usual practice to post links on another site, but you'll only find this genius there...)

Hi madman, Here are a couple more pics of my photo gear. I had impressive results even with my old iPhone 4 so you'll likely be fine. The tripod in the pic is perfect for this assignment.
Cheers,
-Grouchy
I scrounged the white clip from a usb microscope and it works perfectly to hold the...
Genetics vs. Breeder?
Depends on both I reckon.
I have grown the ILGM White Widow repeatedly with excellent results, but ILGM has been stabilizing that particular cultivar for decades and they've got it dialed.
ILGM is a breeder but they don't grow all the seeds they sell. They may be...
Here are the loupes I have on hand.
Generic "30x" Chino garbage! Is likely a badly ground 10x, Amazone Special. Buyer beware
Antique Wards 10x from oceanography days. Plenty good enough
Best of Breed Delomo 15x Triplet, as good as it gets, More difficult to use than the 10x for positioning and...
Yep, Loupe and a phone: the poor man's path to macro-photography!
I just got a spiffy tripod with a long gooseneck to hold my iPhone focus steady and the improvement in focus is dramatic. It came with a bluetooth widget that snaps the pic without touching the phone.

Congratulations Ckbrew !
You made it all the way to the finish line by doing everything right and sharing the ride for others to learn and enjoy. Well Done.
Pollinating the entire plant produces a mountain of seeds and a lot of work extracting them. Selectively pollinating a few branches is...
I was recently asked by a first time grower friend, what were the most important things she should know. That is a really great question.
And I don't pretend to have THE Answer, but I have my answer and I thought I'd drop it on this elite community and ask for your suggestions.
So, "What are...
The AC Infinity Cloudline fans are high end ventilation gear for the grow room. If you have one you know what I'm talking about, and if not you may want to check them out. A programmable exhaust fan is an essential component for controlling heat and humidity.
The bad news is that AC Infinity...
A Different Kind of Grow Log
This is an unusual format for a Grow Log since the event took place last Spring/Summer and I’m relating it with the benefit of hindsight. Not everyone’s cup of tea maybe but I hope that the mix of “Real-Time†notes and my explanatory narrative is readable and...
About 20 years ago I decided that I needed to give my lungs a respite from the rigors of CannaCombustion so I began to look into dry flower vaporizers which were kind of a new thing back then. That was a life changer, tho I didn't realize it at the time.
According to the "InterWeb," "In 2003, a...
For the first time in my long and passionate relationship with cannabis I'm considering the need for a "Tolerance Break!"
As it turns out I have have more high potency cannabis (5 flavors & counting), in more forms (flower, hashish, tincture & edibles) and more spare time (retired) than ever...
I try to keep abreast of new growing techniques for educational purposes and I'm intrigued by the commercial growers adoption of Light Deprivation used in outdoor grows. The idea is to speed up the flowering process for photo plants and decrease the time between harvests, or make the best use of...
I've been growing for decades, but my first autoflower grow is headed for the Jar and I can't help but reflect on what a strange trip this has been! Hint: it's not 'like growing photos!' D'oh.
I chose autoflower seeds because the schedule for this grow was snug right from the start (camping...
