My two RDWC projects, Murcott and Deuxberry may be converted to coco grows soon if I can't fix this.
Long story short, I've done everything virtually the same as other grows in hydro except forgetting to bleach and rinse out the hydroton pellets. I keep finding big "rafts" of red-brown algae...
I've cleaned the hell out of this system and the one in Murcott and still the roots are slimed the day after.
One of the BBs is in the seedling tray trying to recover and likely won't.
I even tried using unfiltered water to let the chloramine kill off whatever is attacking but no use. Even...
All six of the hydro Tangies are together again! It seems that these two I'd almost given up for dead rerooted from the base of their stems like cuttings would. I guess mixing that root booster in with the nutes worked! No sign of anything needing attention today so I'll try to pick out about a...
With the ordeal in Murcott over, here's week 2 of veg.
Deuxberry didn't suffer as much because the problems in Murcott alerted me to what must be done here as well. They all got their net pots rinsed out a few times, water pump filter media got bleached, strained out bits floating in...
Week 2 of veg began with an almighty fight against the reddish-brown to black fungus that went wild in the RDWC. I started my vacation week on Friday evening and I needed it to handle this almighty mess I helped create. Bits of the fungus had been sticking themselves to the roots of my Tangies...
I've been stupidly busy all week trying to turn things around. I finally got off work early enough Thursday to get a proper air pump and I bought a bigger one this time. Now the bubbles are so strong that nothing can settle in the buckets because of the churn! I spent the rest of that evening...
Week one ended with a minor disaster. I rerouted the irrigation lines to three of the buckets to provide top feed for the slower starters. Next morning, I checked the tent before leaving the house (thank Jah) and found all the nute solution nicely contained by the tent floor liner. I used too...
Four Blueberries went hydro today!
The four with the longest taproots got to go here. The other two are in solo cups in coco as a consolation prize. All six sprouts were still quite uniform in germination time and size and in health at this writing.
OK, now it's week one of veg! They are coming along unequally in hydro with one already having three nodes and another struggling a bit with crumpling new growth but they seem to be coming along. The two in coco are doing nicely, even looking strangely symmetrical from above after working with...
I had a Vivosun oscillating two speed clip fan die on me during Project Psychonaut. I swapped for a spare Hurricane to finish the grow. I just replaced the straight Hurricane with a Secret Jardin oscillating fan (which I think has the better design) to begin Project Murcott right and was about...
Project Deuxberry is here at last! This will be another grow for seed stock. Blueberry is the absolute favorite of a friend I grow for and the supply is thinning from the original Project Blueberry - the first hydro grow in my 3x3 tent. I considered calling it Project Blueberry 2.0 or Blueberry...
Yesterday I flushed her with tap water and put her in the dark to await her fate. Chop is probably tomorrow. It was either this or just keep the silly thing for a pet!
I've only started collecting seed from the others. The remnants of a few of them make a cameo in this picture. I gotta say that...
Terphogz sued for (gasp) copyright infringement for their Zkittlez strain & merch.

I found this story yesterday. I even read the legal brief...
Week zero of veg is here! Eight out of eight seeds from DNA/Crockett Farms germinated and even better, all six transplanted to hydro survived the move yesterday. With those six looking good, I've moved the alternate Tangie and the Kosher Kush seedlings to coco in cups so I can clear the seedling...
The one survivor from a few days ago - she's even more purple at the top and much more ripe today with amber trichs not hard to find. I may take her down tomorrow or Friday. The bud from the rest are going in jars tomorrow. Also, if you zoom in, you can see a ripe seed poking out!
I wish I'd known about this trick before I tried to get Cindy 99 beans to pop. I'm guessing GA might be one of the secret ingredients in rapid rooters too.

The Skunk in coco gets yet another week. Trichs were about 90% milky and 10% glass with a few ambers. I think last week's estimate was off a bit. She's ripening just fine under the new LED and the Purple Hazes getting serious about making flowers are loving it too. It's been a week of high RH so...
Project Murcott, replacing the aborted Project Pumpkin, is underway!
This will be another grow for beans. This time, I will be producing seed for two different varieties at once. The grow will consist of six Crockett's Tangies of both sexes in hydro plus an alternate in coco and one Kosher Kush...
I'm disappointed but I can deal with it. After all the buildup and waiting for Project Psychonaut to get out of the way, it appears my pack of Cindy 99 cooked during shipping. Out of the six seeds I started here, only one even cracked open. I put five more in coco to see if it was just my...
