End of Week 9 Flower (A&B)
The grow is trucking along. I am seeing some light-burn signs in the centre of the grow, which is strange. Maybe part of that may be overall temperatures in the tent, which have been 25-27C lately. This particular season hasn't been great for heat control, in...
End of Week 8 Flower (A&B)
So, Plant C is curing in the jar. Still a little green and not done curing by any stretch, but that didn't stop the spouse from taking a sample today for QA during a Critical Role binge. :) The trim from Plant C became an extract, but I haven't quite finished the...
End of Week 7 Flower (A&B), -1 week post harvest for (C)!
So, here are the present details for C!
Final dry buds: 33g
Water-cured trim, after cure and dry: 13g
Not terrible! Would have been better without losing my largest colas to mold. But I still have a very large amount off...
End of Week 6 Flower (A&B), End of Week 12 Flower (C) - HARVESTED C!
So, this week I took down plant C. It was bittersweet - good to get it harvested, but probably could have gone longer EXCEPT - there was legit mold in the bigger colas. Shame.
I cut those sections away aggressively...
End of Week 5 Flower (A&B), End of Week 11 Flower (C)
This week, we have some good progress! Plants A and B are settling into the SCROG nicely, and I am seeing good bud development. I may not get the three monstrous colas that I did off of plant C, just due to the fact that there are way...
End of Week 4 Flower (A&B), End of Week 10 Flower (C)
Things are coming along nicely! Lets start with Plant C: This week, a lot of the pistils flipped over to brown, and the first hints of amber appeared on the calyxes themselves. I believe I have hit the start of the harvest window! I will...
End of Week 3 Flower (A&B), End of Week 9 Flower (C)
I am closing in on harvest time for plant C, and I can hardly wait. The plant doesn't have much of a smell, really, but when I get the resin on my hands, it's a sensory delight. I have a hard time describing the scent/flavor, but I know...
End of Week 2 Flower (A&B), End of Week 8 Flower (C)
So... Plant C is getting the thickest buds I have ever grown. Also the most light burnt. Unfortunately, but that is the way of the learning curve. C is looking a little rough, but I think I might have about ~2 weeks left to harvest, so I...
End of Week 1 Flower (A&B), End of Week 7 Flower (C)
Alrighty! Well, it took a few days after my last update to get everything set up and adjust my timer, but we've finished week one of 12/12 for Plants A and B, plus or minus two days or so!
I handwove myself a little SCROG net in that...
End of Week 11 Veg (A&B), End of Week 6 Flower (C)
Status updates:
I am pretty sure I have at least a few areas on C pollinated. I may have produced some selfed feminized seeds out of my Blue Mystic plants B and C. I will keep trying to self A, because I like that plant, but I'm not going to...
End of Week 10 Veg (A&B), End of Week 5 Flower (C)
So, mostly kept up this week. A and B didn't get too thirsty, but A was in solid need of a drink this morning, as you can see.
But I think I need to just flip everything to flower. It's been 10 weeks. I should have been finished with...
End of Week 9 (BMA and BMB-Veg), or End of Week 4 (BMC-Flowering)
So, Poor BMA and BMB are very thirsty, and I just can just barely keep up. I left them alone for 2 days and came back to this:
Poor thirsty girls. I'll have to adjust my schedule. Right now they're drinking probably 2 gallons...
End of Week 8:
Plant A and Plant B are looking happy in the veg tent. I've been way better about maintaining a more consistent watering schedule this week, so that likely helps.
It's the end of Week 3 from 12/12 for Plant C as well, and little proto-buds are forming.
Plant C is...
End of Week 7:
So, as much as I was feeling behind and over-grown last week, I realized there was a solution: Top the plants back down to size!
So A and B got aggressive haircuts today. Brought them down from ~38 inches down to closer to ~26.
I am taking a couple clones off of A...
End of Week 6.
This Week:
- BM-A is throwing pistils over in the veg tent.
- BM-B does have female pre-flowers, no pistils yet
- BM-C Is throwing pistils in the flower tent, even on the treated branch. Be MALE dang it!
Treatment plan this time is 10 days of 100ppm GA3 and 40ppm silver...
End of Week 5.
Sorry this update is a little late. Yesterday I had a bunch of company, including my in-laws, and couldn't get to my plants in the afternoon to look after them and take photos.
And NOW my spouse has decided it's great time to take over the WHOLE area down there (Including my...
End of Week 4:
So, I'm still struggling with those pre-flowers: B may actually be female? So hard to tell. A and B both have their pre-flowers large enough to be visible with the naked eye, and as they're both very conical, I think A and B may both be females. Not a bad thing, those are...
Just saw the first hints of pre-flowers on Plants A and B. (Nothing on C yet). It's really hard to say for sure, but I'm going to make a guess that A is female (Huzzah!) and B is male. This just because I think I see a 'narrowing' on B's pre-flower that reminds me of a stalk. That said, these...
Keep in mind I'm not a hardened expert, and I am having a bit of a hard time with the color in the photo, but the lightening at the tips reminds me of my first grow, where my plant had a pretty sudden pH shock.
Are you measuring your pH on this grow with something reliable? (My issue on that...
One week post harvest:
The buds dried down over 6 days in my tent (lights off, fan on) at 50%RH and 20c (68F). They were then jarred for curing.
Yield of buds was 40g/1.4oz off one plant. It also yielded 35g of dried, water-cured trim which is now being turned into an extract.
So, I got 75g...
