End of Week 3:
So, transplanting went well. A and B had only ~36 hours of downtime while they got used to the new pot. C took closer to 48 hours. and showed a faint flush of red in the new leaves at the top growth tip and some lightening of the tips. Same thing happened to my plant in the last...
Quadlined RQS Royal Medic was chopped today. Final yield numbers to follow, but here's a visual breakdown of the plant structure.
Total weight: 680g 100%
Rootball (that I could dig out): 35g 5.0%
Stems, not attached to buds: 134g 19.7%
Fan leaves: 152g 22.3%
Trimmed flower and attached...
End of Week 2:
What a difference a week makes! These little plants are taking off.
I am very pleased with them! They've been the fastest plants I've grown to date. (Well bred, Nirvana!) I transplanted today, and noticed that I had a little root circling at the bottom - I probably could have...
End of Week 17 from seed / End of week 10 from 12/12:
HARVEST DAY!
Today was chop day. The plant, under normal circumstances, would have been watered a day or two before, but because I knew the chop was coming, I skipped that last watering. So I had a rather floppy and thirsty looking plant to...
End of Week 1:
So these little guys got really thirsty a day or two back and I was caught off guard without any "seedling strength" nutrients on hand - so I watered them with the stuff I'd prepared for their "roomates" - the cotton, avocado and mango plants. They seem fine, despite the...
End of Week 16 from seed / End of week 9 from 12/12:
At this stage of the game, I think I could potentially harvest at any time. The trichromes are largely cloudy all over, and some of the lower canopy are showing any where from trace to maybe 10% amber. They could go a little longer though, so...
I took my loupe many, many buds to get a feel for what was going on, and only the top-center 6 colas were looking mature. Incidentally, those were the same ones with mild light-burn.
So I harvested those six, and left the rest of the plant to keep maturing. I'm thinking April 28th might...
End of Week 15 from seed / End of week 8 from 12/12:
So the scent is still overpowering... that's nice. :)
This weeks watering was done with a 'flush solution" of 4L water, 18g molasses (Fancy, cause that's what we had), and Ph'd to 6.5. Final strength was ~180ppm, which is pretty close...
Day 0 - Plants have sprouted.
I am quite happy with these little plants - they co-operated with my attempts at timing them so that they sprouted on a Sunday. (I already have my preferred day for plant updates, so I am pleased that I can continue making a weekly habit of going to check and...
Planting Day!
Process was:
Soak seeds in a shot glass full of water for 24 hours, or until they sink when poked.
Place seeds between two layers of moist paper towel, and place that in zipper sandwich bag.
Rest the half of the sandwich bag that DOES NOT have the seeds on my seedling heat...
Just getting started with a new grow. :)
2019-04-09: Soaked 3 Blue Mystic Regular seeds from Nirvana. Perfect outcome for me would be 2 females, 1 male, but as long as I get both sexes represented, I should be pretty happy. I can clone one female into two, if I have to. (I think...
The nice part about having two tents, in addition to them fitting better down in my 'gym', is I can do things like this: Interleave grows.
My Cannabis Plant-Gantt chart suggested it was time to start the seeds of the next batch. Because the spouse has been agitating for a more classic...
This is my Royal Medic. I think she may be around 3 weeks away from harvest or so. I'll pop in to indicate how she did with the Quadline training - but I'm impressed. This one plant has mostly filled a 3' by 1.5' tent, on her own. Normally, I have two plants in there, but she didn't...
End of Week 14 from seed / End of week 7 from 12/12:
Another week down. :)
No dramatic changes. The GA3 branch does seem to be trying to male, but it's not quite enough. I have 3-4 flowers that are showing stems, but then instead of pollen, they throw out a pistil. Much confuse...
End of Week 13 from seed / End of week 6 from 12/12:
So the attempt at re-treating the GA3 branch does not appear to have been a success at this point. A bit of a shame. So I may have to try this again on a subsequent grow - hopefully with a nicely established clone next time - to try and...
End of Week 12 from seed / End of week 5 from 12/12:
So, the most notable change this week has been the scent. Carbon filter is working well, but the moment you open the tent you get hit with a sniff-tastic wall of smells. I am not complaining: I'm smelling sweet, fruity notes mostly...
2019-03-17 End of week 11 from seed / End of week 4 from 12/12
Good Morning, GWE. :)
Here are the updates:
Flower buds are coming along nicely. I got you some reasonably nice glamour shots below.
The Overgrow Canada seeds came in the mail this week. :) So many seeds! I had a...
2019-03-10 End of week 10 from seed, week 3 from 12/12
First of all, I FINALLY know with 100% certainty what strain I'm growing. I found the photo below, which clarifies the legend on the packaging from RQS. So, drumroll please! It is a...
Royal Medic! (Apparently, maybe the nose...
So it's either a complete co-incidence that within ~30 hours of dropping the RH as suggested by LurkingInTheGrass, I have seen an explosion of pistils and proto-buds, or Lurking is just a plant-whisperer. :tongue-out:
Being in week three, and with all these bud-sites forming, I decided it was...
This is probably going to be a bit of a niche post, but it was too amusing not to share with all of you. Lets start at the beginning:
The northern realms around where I live currently have, among other things, a lot of ice and a lot of seriously overbuilt trucks. It's just a climactic...
