I've been reading a lot and I believe I had a decent start this year for next year. I'm down to two. The twins didn't make it in the standard dirt. I thought it was touch and go for a while with the over 100 temps these girls had to endure. But these two made it. The tall skinny one is the one that was in the small black pot sitting on the hot concrete until I figured that wasn't such a great I idea.
The leaves started to yellow so I hit them with nitrogen I made with tea from some fertilizer I use on the garden from time to time. It's Milorganite and in its solid form it is slow release. The tea did get them out of the yellowing and along with that I was giving them Buds and Bloom right up until the buds started taking off then switched to Big Bloom. The Big Bloom seems to be doing the trick along with the slow release Milorganite.
Oncce it cooled off, like the end of August, I put up this small Aldi greenhouse and I have been putting them in at around sundown and then bringing them back out once the sun is up. Has helped to keep the dew off plus they spent two days inside when we had over three inches of rain. They have shared the tent with basil a couple of times due to some low evening temps.
From what I can see, they look close to harvest and seem healthy and happy with the nutrition I've had them on.
So, just my story, started with let me see what can happen and here I am.
I really appreciate all the no BS advice I've found here and I'm looking forward to seeing if these turn out to be anything worth a darn.
Cheers. Sorry for any typos if any.
