Working on trimming the OG Kush still. So far, I have 5 mason jars full. Not sure of the weight per jar yet. Will update. Until then, here's a pic of the tote full of bud before trimming:
Just one final update:
Tonight I chopped down the Peyote Cookies, trimmed off the dead fan leaves and dunked and soaked the buds in clean water. I then placed everything in my drying rack with a fan running nearby (not directly on the buds) to dry while I'm gone on my trip (will be gone...
Hey GWE community! Just went out to find my plants basically on the verge of death after an intense spraying of Neem oil due to spider mites. This is what I get for putting in 150 days of work and tons of money in materials and nutrients?! Fuck that bullshit! You all can have it! I'll stick to...
Just discovered that I have f'ing spider mites! Bad infestation of them too! I even used Neem Oil throughout the grow. No luck. They are the 2nd most evil thing to ever exist! Grrrrrr!
You can clearly see the infestation in the photo below (click to enlarge):
Don't feel bad! You grew something and now have a product to consume because of it! That is fantastic work for your first grow ever! :)
Here's the results of my very first grow ever (well sort of):
I actually started it without planning, and then planted it outside with my dad at his house but...
A few things you've missed...
On July 26, 2020 I flushed the reservoir and refilled it with week 7's formula (pH was around 6.10) as I feel the girls are still in the early phase of "mid bloom" and I'm hoping it will help fill them out. The heat was so bad that I swapped my light's ON time to...
Howdy GWE community. I currently have a 600W MH/HPS set up that I used to use in a custom-built grow cabinet. However, I recently built a larger grow room in my garage and I want to upgrade to this 1000W system to get better light coverage. So my question is would it harm the plant in any way to...
I'd say let them go a bit longer and look for the cloudiness to turn an amber color in about half the trichs and you should have some nice bud.
I used a loupe with my camera phone to make my profile image. :D
Here's a sample using the loupe with my "good" camera (Canon T2i):
A recent study by the University of Colorado at Boulder suggests everything we know about the strength of marijuana is wrong! THC levels don't translate to a better high. I personally agree with this study as I don't see any difference when I consume very high THC percentage bud versus very low...
Hey GWE community! I have a 10 gallon DWC system and I was looking for input on doing my nutrient change.

Which is a better way to change out your nutrients... Pre-mix in two 5-gallon jugs then pour into the reservoir OR fill the reservoir with plain water and add nutrients...
I don't know if it's Stratiolaelaps scimitus. I don't see the "pointy head" on that bug. That being said, the tail region is similar so maybe. Could be the angle of the pic.
Looks good but you're going to want to move that tie down at the top so it's not holding down the new growth. Also, I wouldn't push the tie downs into the soil but rather hook them to the edge of the pot (or you could add something to tie them to).
So, long story short, I'm a southern boy who grew up in heat and humidity and never knew what "dry" meant until I moved to western Colorado. That being said, growing cannabis can be a struggle with such dry air. Sure, I don't have to worry too much about bud rot but I do have to worry about slow...
Hey GWE community! I am getting a head start on my winter grow by researching heating sources for my garage and wanted to see what you all thought about using a portable propane heater to warm my grow room. Since my room is highly vented (390cfm in a space that's 234 cu. ft.) CO toxicity...
