    Soil watering question

Do you water according to plant size or pot size? My particular situation is pictured, little plant and a 2.5 gallon pot. I know what I've been doing 8oz in a solo cup. Now what? Hope that's enough info, if not I'm full of it!

Focus your water around your little plant no need to water soil without roots. you do want the roots to Chase Water. for now water close to the plant and slowly increase the amount as plant grows hope this helps

If you water the whole pot it will take a longer to dry out unused water, can cause mold, fungus gnats and wash away nutes before it has roots grow in it.

Excellent advice above Jegs. Water in a little circle around the plant, with not much water. P.S. still trying to get pictures of my NLAUTO on here.

I water the entire pot until it runs off. The stuff described above is, wait for it, over, that's right, over watering. Overwatering comes in two varieties. 1. flushing your plant too often; this leads to rot and nutrient starvation or burns depending on medium and solution offered. 2. Watering intervals to close together (watering in a tiny circle). Both lead to all kinds of issues. Water your plant edge to edge, every time, until it drips, then drain completely. This should give you about 1/5 to 1/4 runoff (20%).
