Fox Farms Ocean Farms mixed with Coco-Coir

I recently got a couple bricks of coco-coir as a gift from my wife (she loves getting me new grow stuff ) and I'm thinking of mixing it with some of my Fox Farms Ocean Forest (should help with getting plenty of water and air to the roots) and I was wondering about how that would affect feedings and ph levels and such.

Does anyone have experience or comments/suggestions in regards to using this mix? Thanks in advance, cause I know how awesome all of our community is.

in soil there are already nutes in coco there are none you have to add everything mixing both will give you a weak nute soil mix that you will have to add nutes to a some point. what I have done in the past is to put soil in bottom of pot and then coco . I then consider the soil as an emergency food source and go about watering and feeding as I normally would without the soil. others have done it with success good luck if you do and post it so we can all see the results. I tell people that there are ten ways to do one thing so its about finding what works for you . at this point in time I grow with just a coco/perlite mix

Did some research and I appreciate the answers. I am going to go ahead and start that mix for my next journal grow. It won't require too much adjustment in the nutrient schedule but definitely need to start at 1/3 strength.

Just for the purpose of sharing I posted the blend below.

3 Parts Fox Farms Ocean Forest Soil
          2 Parts Coco-Coir with Perlite (60/40)

If there are any more suggestions/comments as always they are appreciated.

If your going to use soil in your mix. Make sure you use the proper ph for soil

I did a grow last year tht was half soil half Coco I watered at 6.0 pH had no issues but I would recommend maken a mix with more coco than soil just my opinion since then I've switched back to just coco
