I'm brand new to this and I'm anxiously waiting for my one baby seed to pop it's head up...I planted it 7 days ago. (My brother grows and gave me this seed-it's 3 years old). How long should I wait till I plant another? I have seeds coming in the mail so don't want to have more than 2 plants growing at a time.

Depends on how much space you're working with, your light setup, whether you're going to veg and flower them at the same time

Did your brother show you how to germinate? Regardless, it should still come up - just don't drown it trying.

I know you can get a lot of benefit from juicing raw cannabis leaves. Can someone recommend a good strain to grow for this and what I'd need to do to be sure it doesn't go to flower?"

Hi nadine, indica-dominant plants will have much more foliage than sativa dominant plants. Look at pics of different strains and you'll see. If you don't switch the plant to 12/12 light, it won't switch to flower.

alltatup, thank you. I would be growing this plant outside...any ideas? Also, I probably will start a plant inside so thank you for the advice! Do you think I can keep this plant in a vegetative state indefinitely?

Does anyone know if I plan on keeping a plant from flowering (for juicing) if it matters whether it is a male or female plant?

Nadine, you can keep a plant from flowering by keeping her in 18/6 light. As long as you don't increase the darkness, she won't know it's time to start flowering. That's called a mother plant, and you can also keep one to cut clones off of.

Thank you so much, I plan on having this be an outdoor plant so maybe I can get a grow light for the winter hours...
