HELP! Curing: How to Continue Initial Curing Process if I'm Gone for a Week? (Burping Jars?

Hi guys. So real quick and simple.
How does one manage to cure, if they are gonna be gone for a week? I mean, it's the critical week. Starting from a few days after having put the buds in the jars.
From Nebulas tutorial, i've learned that it's absolutely critical to open the jars at LEAST once a day for the first 1-2 weeks. Not to mention the continuous monitoring to make sure things don't get too damp inside the jars, and breathing the jars accordingly.

So if i'm gonna be gone for a week, how do I get around this?
I've already cut down my first baby, and her buds are hanging up to dry now. I'm just trying to get my shit together in advance cause I may be traveling for a week sometime soon.
And I do NOT wanna come back to moldy buds. :horror:

I'm sure others have had this issue before, and i'm curious how it was dealt with, or could be dealt with.

I've taken buds still a lil soft from high humidity, placed bud in a brown bag used couple paper plates to make 2 layers of bud , rolled top of bag down enough it sealed a lil they finished drying slowly. For me it worked perfectly.

The key is to avoid mold at any cost. I like the paper bag idea.

what I have learned so far:
    environment maters more than nutrients
at least a dab of nutrients in every watering
effective flushing before harvest is critical to quality

If I were you I would use coffe filters or brown paper to "close" the mason jars. This way humidity won't rise too much but they will dry slower than just inside a bag

Better to come home to some overdried buds than to a jar of mold

i second what 9 said. there are ways to "rehydrate" but moldy bud can't be used.

Brown paper bags is the original way to cure cannabis..it works great...i still do it from time to time...don't leave open all the way..slightly loose roll the top over..letting a small amount of air in and out...
