Carbon filter ? Lots of them!!!!

    Hi
    Love this site!!!
I've read so much on this topic and see the phresh and can supposed to be the best but I seen on the gwe had the I power witch uses the Australia carbon. I personall . Just got a small 6" no name one off eBay got me through 4 runs OK. Didn't kill odors but kept them in my apartment. It is going in 2'x4'x5' tent. So the square foot is 40'. I'm getting so many different answers on how much to clear the room 3-5 x a min or 1 time 3-5mins. I have a 6" fan hooked up to my hood with a variable speed controls at max is 440cfm. Any help would I would be so grateful!
Thank u in advance for any help!

I use the IPower filter too. I hate it. Doesn't remove ANY smell. Will upgrade soon. You don't want your fan to be much stronger than what your filter can handle. If you're in a 2x4 tent then you don't need anything bigger than a 120cfm fan

Make sure the fan and filter are very close in cfm rating. That's the most important part. I think nebula has a nice cfm calculator and a nice explanation about cfm and carbon scrubbers on the site

I run a 8 inch 747CFM fan and carbon filter rated at 740CFMsI do not anticipate ANY SMELLS in my 2 foot by 4 foot tent works great!

I thought ahead and got a carbon filter. 720 cfm Prob more than I need for two plants I guess but maybe I can reuse for my next grow.

Why thank u all for the info. I have a variable speed regulator on it so I should be able to match whatever cfm filter I get right? I talked to a lot hydro stores around her and the only one who seemed to know what they where talking aboud said I could hook up a reducer and put a 4" 200cfm filter on it! Even the 6 in filter I have on it now running that fan even on 3/4 is way to fast.
